Gawaina is a noblewoman that lives by herself in a very tall house in Mordentshire. She had become very unwise due to prolonged exposure to the cursed great-sword Nightveil, which she bequeathed to Jack Kenny. She wanted very much to marry, and accepted the party's help in finding a suitable match. While getting to know her, the party came to believe that something sinister was in her basement. They discovered many things in the massive caverns below her house, including a plague demon, and a landing of the Infinite Staircase.
