Another head for the castellan; this time it was a kobold chieftain—if I am to trust my dwarven fellow. Due to the narrowness of explored caves I took upon me to protect our back rank, whilst the smaller ones pushed onward. Still, my axe has seen plenty of action...
Our haul was humble but fair. We are getting through these caves with increased ease, which has me worried. Where are the ogres? What about those were-things that ambushed us? What if they move into the caves we've cleared? Bone Keep necromancer had strong allies, who were supposedly from these caves—but we are yet to encounter them.
Our fortifications have finally been completed. I've been drafting further reinforcements with Hats and Boots. We plan to dig a moat and fill it with the water from the nearby spring. They are currently surveying the foundations. I'm looking forward to hear their assessment.
I've also asked our armourer to inspect the ornate plate mail we've recovered during our last delve, both for repair, but also for insignia and any indication about who made it and whom might it have belonged to. It's been a couple of days since I've asked him, so I should remind him soon.
The grand wizard's apprentice should arrive to Redwood in about a weeks time. Gods, please grant me patience for whatever awaits me. And I should keep an eye on that Koko fella, he's been amassing a following of rather sketchy folk.
