Exploration of the harpy cavern revealed the shining gemstones on the large cyclopean statue at its centre, the warrior prising off the "eye" which was a hefty gemstone that turned a lavender colour.
The only other door from the cavern was bereft of ways to open save for three ring symbols, which we married up with three brass rings set into the wall of the room above, examination provided no clues so we set about looking elsewhere.
And lo! A grand treasure room was found, and when we returned to the cavern to collect our crew we discovered the remaining winged witch was dead and my army of chaos once again under my command, so it was decided to take the treasure haul back to the fort.
Our looting was interrupted by a multitude of giant rodents that bit and chewed as we stomped them, unfortunately the dog succumbed to rat teeth but we cleared them away and took our reward back to the fort.
My friends were ecstatic of their new freedom as promised, the human decided to stay whilst his greener companions raided our armoury and set off for their homeland.
A troublesome adventure that yielded more funds for the chaos army. The room of fungi awaits us so we may return to the rat folk with news of our efforts to clear the lair.
