Crack of dawn.
This seems like old hat at this point. Reaching the estate in the evening, camping out and getting up at the crack of dawn before approaching the manor.
We were a lot more confident this time. Like a well oiled machine we scurried up and over the garden wall, eyeing the clearly magical fountain. Seasoned adventurers as we are, we realised we forgot the barrel which was meant to be used to bring back water from the fountain, but that was a side objective really. We noticed my armour glowing a bright yellow, indicating that hairy ones were nearby.
Instead, we worked our way into the building. Peaking into a room revealed a barracks of sorts, confirming the presence of hairy ones which the magical glow from my armour had warned us about moments earlier.
The next few minutes were a haze, as we hacked and slashed at the enemies, pushing them back and down the stairs into the underground which we had theorised was there. Unfortunately, their reinforcements arrived and we thought it best to cut our losses. We had dealt a pretty severe blow to them, and to cover our escape we threw a couple of trusty oil flasks in our wake. Unfortunately, we are used to flinging burning oil in caves rather than built structures, so we had to flee the burning building.
When we return, I am sure that my armour will be glowing a lot dimmer.
