We advanced through the secret door into a maggot infested chamber, one of the dwarves espied another secret door leading to a large corridor, which we followed down.
A gaggle of skeletal warriors appeared at the end of the corridor, as we prepared to engage, three of the party fell into a pit, upon reaching the bottom a strange mist formed around them and they promptly disappeared, the rest of us quickly dispatched the bony foes and then inspected the pit, a spear cast into it vanished in the same way, we presupposed a teleportation of some kind.
As we discussed if we should drop into the pit, we explored around, discovering a temple room with a large skill motif, its mouth a doorway, our warrior gasped indicating this was our destiny to remove the curses, meanwhile one of us dropped a note into the teleport pit indicating we would meet up.
Eventually we dropped into the pit and found our comrades, who had been busy knocking down a wall, after a quick survey we found ourselves back in a room where a snake had attacked and resulted in a hacking of an unfortunate retainer's limbs, a task I may add that proved costly as one of my retainers had to be goaded with gold into remaining after witnessing such an act.
Now rejoined, we swiftly made our way back to the skull doorway and advanced, discovering a number of secret doors that revealed a room with two sarcophagi, readying ourselves they were opened and two ghoulish figures emerged, immediately mauling our dwarven warrior, paralysing him.
I called upon the glory of chaos that is Mar Nod and his essence came to us and caused the foul creatures to retreat, whereupon they were hacked to bits, leaving only their treasures behind.
