Striving on past the bottomless pit, we passed through a few rooms to discover a bricked up door, bashing through we came upon a pillar encrusted with gems, our dwarves eagerly wanting to extract them, but surmised it would take too long and the curse on one of them hung like a black cloud.
Backtracking we discovered a stairwell leading upwards, leading to an octagonal room with a strange mist, mirrored walls, and a glowing skull atop a pedestal in its centre, the doorway appeared to be a one-way mirror and was easily smashed.
The room offered no other exits, so we began to smash the mirrors in the hope of finding a doorway, when the mists swirled and a ghostly figure took aim at the cursed dwarf, we quickly surrounded it and rained blows until its ethereal form dissipated but not before the cursed dwarf took a deathly blow that sapped strength.
We continued to smash mirrors and again another ghost appeared, striking its deathly blow to our long time dwarf companion, again we assailed it until it was dispelled.
However, the dwarf had discovered an exit, a corridor leading to a room with a hatch, obviously a way to the surface, we decided to leave this and continue back again delving deeper to try and find a worthy opponent to lift the curse.
A series of tomes revealed not much, but some mummified felines which we heavily petted.
