Our warrior and the foolish priest kept back, we were assisted by a comrade and began to explore the corridor, coming upon a stone door marked with a strange symbol and connected to some mechanism, being in a faraway land none of us understood its meaning, but the dwarves began to investigate.
With a push, the stone door slid open to reveal a corridor ending in another stone door with another strange symbol, on the wall were several symbols, two matched those on the doors, the others we knew not.
The dwarves had heard of rooms that ascended and descended and suspected this may be one, selecting a symbol it was pressed and a sudden movement spun the corridor around, the dwarves indicating that the north-south corridor was now west-east, two more doors with two more symbols faced us.
We advanced through a stone door via a decorated corridor to meet an iron door, light and chanting beyond made us wary, when suddenly a troop of warrior maidens approached us, they seemed intent on finding and eradicating mages, and as we were also on a quest to quell an evil sorcerer, we agreed to join forces and assault the spellsters beyond.
Alas our plan did not work well, it took several attempts to break down the iron door and alert the occupants of the room beyond, a gaggle of robed and masked men who at once began to chant, I readied Mar Nod's spell of silence to abort them, but it was only partially successful, allowing one mage to close the iron door fast, and another to put the warrior maidens into slumber.
The sounds of the battle beyond the iron door eluded me, I could not open it without resorting to magic, so I retreated back to the moving corridor in hopes I could find more warriors to assist, and hope my gang emerged victorious.
