After a brief rest to allow poor Umphred to heal his severed arm, we decided to travel to amass wealth left behind in greasy den where I ended my divinity, and so the crew travelled to the strange pyramid structure and descend once again.
Searching for a way down, we heard noises, some argument in an language we did not understand, and sent our cowardly thief to investigate, who reported that a group of warriors in masks were ahead.
The group was split on an outright attack, but as many encountered before were part of some denomination, we decided to parley, and our cheery dwarf approached the masked warriors, at first they were guarded, but when we mentioned we had previously vanquished the demonic creature below they became friendly and offered us coin to dispatch other enemies.
During negotiations we were accosted by a swarm of flying insects that chewed our flesh, one of my army succumbed and another just survived, the elf causing them to sleep and one of the masked men perished.
We managed to overcome the swarm and continue negotiations.
