Outsider (Major)
Halflings are seen as savage outsiders and universally distrusted within the seven cities. Halflings subtract 2 from Persuasion rolls made to influence Humans, Elves, Half-Elves, and Dwarves. Furthermore, Halflings are not citizens of the seven cities and as such aren’t offered even the basic legal protections citizens of the seven cities enjoy.
Half-folk
Halflings are much smaller than the other residents of Athas. Your size is decreased by one, which decreases your toughness by one.
Short Legs
Halflings find getting anywhere quickly difficult. Halflings decrease their pace by 1 and reduce their running die by a type (A d4 is only reduced to d4-1)
Older Than Magic
Arcane skills targeting halflings (Including ones from allies) suffer a -2 penalty. Magical damage is also reduced by 2. This counts as the Arcane Resistance background edge.
Easily Overlooked
Halflings start with d6 Stealth instead of a d4. This increases your maximum Stealth to d12+1.
Unbroken
Halflings start with a d6 Spirit instead of a d4. This increases yourmaximum Spirit to d12 + 1.
Lucky
Halflings draw an additional Benny at the beginning of a session.
