Session 0

All players find themselves in a 1821 Boston still ruled by the British Monarchy
- This is odd, since all of them were in timezones 50 to 200 years further ahead than that
- Also the British thing
Do you like snow? There's been a Blizzard for 2 weeks and it's showing no signs of letting up any time soon

Choosing a Side

The Crew Find themselves in Wintry Boston, 1821. They've got no money, shitty shelter and no support. Oh, and also all of them are from future times.

They should probably do something about all that.

- Pub Cellars in winter suck, actually. Let's brainstorm ideas for money

- That train thing sounds dangerous, so let's try Gambling
  We met a Changeling! John Stil. We need to meet him later to visit the Freehold
  PC Jess Thornton is also bad and not good at Gambling, and has lost literally all of her Money
- Gambling is dumb. Let's go to School!
  Met another Changeling in the Library. Nina Scribe. Agreed to ask around for translation work for PC Maelys
  Met a ~~boy~~ nerd. Charles Thornton.
  Possibly an ancestor to Jess
  Possibly a sugar daddy for PC Harper
  Probably an Alchemy Student
  The Boston College teaches Alchemy, which seems odd
  Jess Thornton has recorded a list of professors with offices in the Alchemy Building
- Met John Stil at 11pm to lead us to Changeling Freehold
  A bunch of Changelings are introduced
  The current leader is the Winter Queen, Lady Snow
  The Changelings have been given a week to commit to a Changeling court or gtfo

Session 2
- No Harper this session
- Feb 12
  PC Maelys spends most of the day shoveling snow
  PC Jess sells her body to science
  She heads to the College looking for work as an assistant
  She doesn't find it, but she does find work as an experimentation subject for one Professor Nikolas Knight
  She returns to the College in the evening to meet the professor. He rambles about Alchemy, takes obsessively detailed measurements of Jess' body, and draws rather a lot of blood
  Jess is instructed to return in 2 days after blood testing for the full experimentation suite to beginning and is paid for her trouble in the meantime
  Jess uses this money to pay off her gambling debts
  PC Laura steals a book
  She tries to do history research in the Library, and is promptly kicked out of the Library for looking out of place
  She steals a Farmer's Almanac on the way out
  The Farmer's Almanac shows that constant blizzards and heavy, wet snow are to be expected from November through to March, and that torrential downpour is the norm for much of the rest of the year.
  Oddly, this seems to be highly localized on Boston, and the further away from it you get, the more normal the weather becomes
- Feb 13
  Timer Threshold: The town guards (read: British Soldiers) are looking for a group matching the party's description for questioning. It may be a case of genuine mistaken identity, but if the group wants to avoid being harassed outside they'll need to move stealthily from now on
  The group meet a new person in the Slaughtered Lamb pub, an aboriginal woman who goes by Raccoon
  Raccoon is acerbic and has some sort of mage shit going on. She catches Jess trying to do a magic and is not happy about it, but grumpily agrees to teach mage 101 in exchange for the party tracking down a contact for her
  The party tracks down that contact, a courier named Avery Wolf
  Raccoon and Avery talk, then Raccoon explains the whole mage thing to the mages
  In the evening Maelys returns to the Freehold to get a job from Nina. She succeeds; turns out there's Arabic translation work to be done
- House Shopping:
  Nina mentions that there's room in the student housing that the party might be able to afford with jobs
  Laura, now that she knows what Hallows are, using Prime magic to track one down. It's a clock tower that could probably use a little repair in the 1st Ward

- Feb 14
  Everyone goes to visit Willow White, Changeling, to learn about the courts
  Harper is leaning towards Spring and advised to go visit Demeter, the Queen of Spring, in her House of Pleasure
  Maelys is leaning towards Summer and is advised to ask a Summer Changeling where to find Auburn Coyote, King of Summer
  Jess does some research in the College library on history
  England Reconquered the US after the War for Independence was won, but before the Constitution was signed
  England also conquered a large part of France during the French Revolution
  Viscount Talbot has been in charge of Boston for the last 20-25 years
  Harper goes on a date with Charles Thornton
  Charles is an apprentice under Nicolas Knight
  Charles is the youngest son of the Thornton matriarch, who is placing considerable pressure on him for the uplifting of the family
  Charles is acquainted with Dawn Gold, who is trying to get an apprenticeship in the Alchemist Department at Boston College
  Jess goes visit Nikolas knight to sell her body for science
  Nikolas is nowhere to be found. Instead, Violet Waters meets Jess
  Violet Waters implies she knows Jess is a Mage and that she and Nikolas are Vampires.
  She wants the group to set her up a meeting with the commercial harbour master, offering money in exchange
  She gives Jess a vial of probably blood labeled "Drink Me!", stating it can be used to signal her
- Feb 15 (Morning)
  Avery returns in the morning to bring the group to meet with an anonymous party
  They group meets Alyx Freeman, who is a leader within the Boston American Resistance (BAR)
  Alyx is offering the group shelter and information in exchange for supplies; either weapons, significant materials or funding

Session 4
- Feb 15 Pt.2
- The group head to Demeter's House of Pleasures in the Commercial Harbour
  The house is a converted warehouse dedicated to all manner of novel and illicit experiences. Food. Drugs. Gambling. Sex. It has it all.
  Demeter, the Queen of Spring, has the proportions of a plump old woman, but the scale to be the largest person in the room by a considerable margin
  Demeter accepts Harper's plea to join the Spring Court and officiates their oath.
- Jess & Laura head to the Harbour Master's Office, while Maelys surveys the docks and Harper tries to get information from a sailor bar
  Jess and Laura
  The Mages do some magic, find the Harbour Master in his office, and use slight of hand to feed him the probably-blood labeled "Drink Me!" left with Jess from Violet waters
  The Harbour Master also mentioned an Old, abandoned Fishing barge that he's willing to look the other way on if someone can only get it the heck out of his harbour
  They both also sign up to work as dock hands for the evening shift
  Jess fails an act of Hubris, losing a dot of Wisdom
  Maelys identifies some probable smugglers in the Wharf
  Harper
  Harper attempts to flirt with a man who they take to be an officer of some kind.
  The man identifies himself as a Marine, and identifies Harper as someone who he's seen on wanted posters.
  Harper insites bedlam to distract all the people in the pub and make their get away
- The group meet up and compare notes
  They realize that someone followed Harper.
  They try to lay a trap for the tail, but it doesn't work out, so instead Maelys tries to just grab her.
  The Tail immediately wolfs out and tries to run away
  Laura drops a white out blizzard on the girl as she's fleeing, while Harper renders her insensate. They then tie her up in an alley
  The group fail to get the girl to say literally anything to them, until Maelys tries asking her something in French.
  The girl, Molly, does not speak English. She's a Werewolf and after a brief exchange goes her separate ways from the group

Session 5
- No Laura today
- Feb 15 (Pt. 3)
  Jess works an evening shift at the Commercial Docks
  She determines that a lot of bribery is going on at the Wharfs. Smuggling is definitely happening, but she doesn't know specifically what
  Jess identifies a man of wealth who is paying the bribes for several different ships. She uses magic to track him to 2 merchantships in harbour (The Argentum and the Aurum)
- Feb 16
  The group go to the Freehold to get info from Hingebreaker about where to find Auburn Coyote
  Coyote is cleaning up a fight ring near the Trainyard
  He sucker Punches Maelyn and tells her to hit him back
  Whatever he's looking for, he finds it, and invites Maelyn tot he Summer Court
  He tells Maelyn he'll have her in a fight in the next couple months to help her become a better fighter
  Maelyn goes to the College Library to work. Meanwhile Harper tries pull Charles Thornton out of class to seduce him, and independently Jess goes to ransack Charles' flat.
  Jess is seen entering the building, but manages to get in without too much trouble
  Jess fails to learn about Alchemy, but does find a collection of letters to Charles from his family
  She learns that Rose Thornton, Charles' mother and Thornton matriarch, is a cold woman who expects to be obeyed by her children and is pushing Charles towards collecting the tools needed to assume a position of greater political power
  Harper shows up with Charles. There's a weird letter addressed "To the charlatan spying on me at Wharf 09 ", which Harper pockets
  Harper and Charles hear Jess in the flat. Jess doesn't hear them. She walks into plain sight sorting through Charles' letters
  Talking is done. Jess admits to being a Thornton from the future, convinces Charles of this fact, and convinces him to not tell anyone in the immediate future
  Jess runs off, leaving Harper and Charles alone
  Harper admits to being a changeling to Charles and makes a bargain with him for something non-specific but definitely lewd
  A lot of seduction was involved
  But first, Harper, used Waking the Inner Fae on him, making him Wanton and Obsessed
  The group meet up with Violet Waters in a back room of the College Bar
  Harper straight up admits to being a changeling, offers to feed blood to Violet, and harvests her emotions for Glamour
  Violet congratulates the group on a job well done and pays them
  Violet explains her organization, New Carthage, and states her goal as overthrowing the current Vampiric Order for a more egalitarian one
  She is notably silent about the question "egalitarian for whom?"
  Violet elaborates on what she wants from them: Highly Skilled Agents who can work in places that the Vampiric members of New Carthage cannot

Session 6
- No Laura in this session
- Feb 16 (pt. 2)
  The group discuss the letter Harper found at Charles, addressed "To the charlatan spying on me at Wharf 09"
  They realize that it's definitely a mage thing and agree to select "Other"
- Feb 17
  Jess goes to the post office, buys a PO Box, and then fills out the letter. This triggers a magical effect which includes space magic
  Harper impersonates a Captain in one of the Ward Barracks of the English Soldiers slash Guards
  Harper learns that the soldiers were originally looking for people matching their description for questioning related to a crime, but that it only actually became a problem when the Lord Steward of Boston took personal interest and ordered that they be brought to the Citadel to handle questioning personally.
  While fixing up the Clocktower, Jess gets another letter from the Harbour Man
  It congratulates her for treating the previous letter in a manner that denied information and invites her to the La Vie En Rose Restaurant to discuss matters in person
  Jess only opens the letter in a local dinner, and immediately burns it after reading it
  The group meet up and go to the La Vie En Rose, an extremely fancy restaurant which serves the ultra wealthy
  There they meet the reedy man who first introduces himself as Mr. Fortune and, later, as Wheel of Fortune
  Wheel of Fortune explains the Hexagon, which is an alliance of the Diamond Orders with Mammon and Paternaster
  Wheel of Fortune attempts to recruit Jess to the Hexagon, says she'd fit in well with Mammon, of which he is a member, and offers tutorship in exchange for her joining
  After some convincing, Wheel of Fortune agrees to meet with the BAR after stealing a ball point pen from Jess
- Feb 18
  The group give the BAR contact info for Wheel of Fortune
  The group determine via Kenning that Alex Freeman and Avery Wolf are not supernatural creatures
- Later
  The BAR comes to a costly bargain for supplies and funding from Wheel of Fortunate
  The BAR help the group escape notice of the common soldiers
  The group finish making the Clocktower habitable
- The player of Harper left the game after this session

DT1: Snowed In

Everyone has a place to stay now, and some of them even have disposable incomes. Too bad about all that snow. I suppose there's nothing to do apart from the great wealth of DT Sidequests.

Oh, and also maybe another person from outside of time has shown up. Everyone should probably look into that, too.

Session 7
- New player! The new character is Natalie Kusomoto, a Martian Ship Mechanic from the Galactic Space Age, and also a Summer Court Wisened Helldiver Changeling.
- The group head to the fight pit, Maelys intent on impressing Coyote
  In the pit they meet Natalie, PC, who's there fighting but quickly slips and accidentally reveals to the rest of the group that she, too, is time displaced
  After a lengthy discussion, the group invite Natalie back to the Clock Tower. Victims of Timey Whimey Bullshit should stick together. It also doesn't hurt that she knows how to fix a roof
  Meanwhile, Maelys absolutely wipes the floor with the fighters Coyote had lined up for her
- The group continue to talk to Natalie at home, but eventually they need to do other stuff
- Eventually Jess heads out to sell her blood to a Vampire
  She exchanges letters with Professor Nicolas Knight before meeting him again in person. She agrees to sell him blood in exchange for tutoring in Alchemy, lasting until he "Develops a new Coil", whatever that means
  Giving all that blood takes a toll on her though. She'll suffer from periodic exhaustion as long as the deal continues
- Meanwhile, Laura makes herself invisible and robs a Gunsmith
  She steals a Breach-Loading 2-barrel rifle as well as the sales ledger
  She also goes for some bullets, but the opening drawer is spotted and she decides to quite while she's ahead, and before she's damaged any minds
  She latter tries to decipher the ledger she stole, but is unable to make heads or tails of it

Session 8
- Natalie Fixes up the Clocktower
  The tower is in real shit shape
  Fortunately, Natalie actually has ranks in Crafting!
  She gets the roof patched, the clock oiled, and the walls actually insulated
  The mages learn that the tass produced by the tower is stored in the clock gears
  Mana can be oblated by ritually maintaining the clock mechanism
- Laura stakes out a bank. Good thing she can make herself invisible
  She finds out that the bank has a strongbox dropped off, and picked up, weekly on Monday
  Day Time
  There's at least 6 soldiers present during the day, maybe more during strongbox time
  The vault is not locked during the day, but it is guarded by soldiers
  The Day Manager is always near the vault, unless personally seeing to a wealthy patron, or called away by nature
  The Day Manager locks the vault using a ring of keys at dusk
  Night Time
  The Night Manager is a Vampire
  At least 2 Vampire Soldiers are also present at night
  The Night Manager was able to detect Laura, despite her being invisible
- Maelys tracks down Molly
  Molly lives in or close to the Boston Commons
  The Commons are indeed open to the public
  However, they are also full of dangerous predators and animals which have been imported for the nobility to hunt
  Maelys talks to Molly
  She tries to offer her help, and gives her some places she could hide out in
  Molly talks about how she was caught by the count's hound master and brought here to be hunted. They've not managed to catch her yet
  Molly does not take up Maelys offer of help. Progress was made, but not enough to overcome the distrust the group fostered in their first meeting
- Jess visits the Thornton family home in Salem
  It's a day coach to make it to Salem or back
  Jess finds out that there's an manor house in Salem belonging to a Baroness Heart, who spends most of her time away from her domain
  Anyway, let's cast Incognito Presence and sneak into the Thornton farm house
  The original farm building from Jess's time is here, but the surrounding facilities have not yet been built
  The farmhouse itself is huge. The present family members are eating dinner, so Jess helps herself into the office
  Rose Thornton burns all her letters, and only keeps books written by famous leaders in her office. There's not much info here, but hey, at least there's some keys
  Jess steals the keys and uses them to get into the locked Cellar, where the original ritual chamber can be found
  There's a small library of cult material and a few other odds and ends down here, as well as another locked door which leads to the actual ritual chamber
  Key doesn't work, so time to try picking the lock
  Inside the ritual room is an embedded iron circle, a whole lot of supplies, and 3 books of occult artes
  A book on practices to mentally nudge people
  A book on manipulating fate (lower case "f")
  A book on summoning demons
  Jess has enough time (and the right merits) to speed read 1 book. She chooses the Demon Book
  The book details rituals to summon demons, the risks of doing so, precautions to take against your own summons, and some things different entities might be able to do for you
  Jess is able to confirm that whatever these demons are, they are not Goetic or Supernal demons
- Natalie robs an apothecary to make thermite
  She uses a contract to make a door in the wall of an apothecary
  Steals everything that has Magnesium in it
  Synthesizes some home made Thermite from that and a whole lot of iron rust
- The session caps off with the group talking about details for robbing themselves a bank

Session 9
- It's time to rob a bank!
- The groups spends some time working out a plan for the job
  The BAR is providing the getaway vehicle
  Laura is the only decent driver, so she stays with the carriage
- Everyone else uses supernatural powers (Incognito Presence & Light-Shy) to go invisible and sneak into the bank
  None of the inside team can perceive each other, but they manage to get in without too much trouble
- In the Vault Room, Jess uses Psychic Domination to put the guards to sleep
  then Maelys uses Hostile Takeover to open the vault and get inside
  The vault is completely unlit with the door closed behind the group. Good thing Natalie can "find" a light source with Hidden Reality
  Maelys focuses on bagging loot from the vault, while Jess concentrates on maintaining her sleep spell and Natalie picks some lockbox locks
  Natalie finds a weird, reptilian scale in a lockbox
- Maelys and Natalie get out with most of the money, but Natalie stays behind to push her luck opening more lock boxes
  Too bad none of them can perceive each other!
  Natalie gets lucky. She opens 3 more lock boxes and one of them has material related to the Thornton Family
  Not that lucky though. Someone noticed the sleeping guards out front while she was picking locks
- Natalie closes the vault door with her in it
  Thermite time? Thermite time.
  Natalie escapes the vault with only moderate burns, which is actually pretty good for someone who just set off explosives in an enclosed space
  The group outside hear the explosion and move around to the back
  Natalie manages to reapply Light-Shy in an office, but the people looking for her have made her unable to "find" a backdoor with Hidden Reality
  She tries to unsuccessfully pry the bars off the window, but she does get the attention of the others
  Natalie slams shut the door to the office she's hiding in and barricades it, before becoming visible so that Jess can use magic on her
  Jess uses Break Boundary to get Natalie out through the barred window, straight into a public street. Wisdom is for cowards
  Natalie gets into the carriage and the group make their getaway
  Jess decides one usage of public supernal magic isn't enough and casts Groundeater on the whole carriage
  Meanwhile, Maelys uses Nevertread to cover the teams tracks
- After they get home, the crew lay low for a while
  The BAR stops by to pick up their cut and dispose of the getaway carriage
  Jess learns some things about the Thorntons from what Natalie took
  The mages study the weird scale and figure out that it's something related to vampires, but little else

In which the group needs to track down and recruit a whole lot of political factions

Session 10
- March 22nd
  The PCs experience something they've never experienced before on this day:
  It is not snowing
  It's pissing rain instead
  Like really the weather is still pretty fucking terrible
  It's not snow though!
  The group wake up and basically there's 3 things to do
  The BAR wants to meet with them
  New Carthage wants to meet with them
  The Freehold is changing over from the Winter to Spring Monarch on the next New Moon (April 4th)
  Morning
  The group consult the possibilities for the day and decide to head to meet with the BAR
  Alyx Freeman greets them and tells them about their mission, should they choose to accept it
  They want to recruit as many factions as possible to their cause for freedom against the Vampires
  In particular they want to get the Boston Mass on team BAR
  Afternoon
  The group decide to follow up on that Boston Mass thing and head to the Boston Cathedral
  Woops. Turns out it's a Brothel now?
  Are we sure this is the Boston Mass?
  No, as it turns out, it is not.
  The group bow without partaking of the Brothel, though Natalie elects to return later for a job interview with the Dame
  The group quickly doublechecks with the BAR.
  It turns out they don't know where the Mass is?
  But they know where they used to be: The 9th Ward (Near the Freehold)
  Evening (Maelys & Jess)
  Time to head to talk to the Revolutionary Vampires
  Violet Waters wants the group to recruit as many factions as possible
  ...Doesn't this sound sort of familiar?
  In particular, she wants the group to recruit the Boston Cathedral (which is, again, a brothel) to her cause
  She offers to pay for services rendered with information on Mages in the City, and offers a "bonus" magic item if the group recruits enough factions
  Evening (Natalie & Laura)
  Natalie returns to the Boston Cathedral in her sluttiest outfit
  She and Laura meet the owner of the brothel, Baroness Amelia Heart of Salem
  The Baroness identifies Natalie as a changeling
  After some back and forth, she offers Natalie a job
  Natalie accepts
  The Baroness also offers to handle Natalie's "Legal Trouble" in exchange for a future favour
  Natalie doesn't take her up on the offer
  The Baroness states that the offer is still open, but that it'll be too late after she's already gotten into trouble with the law
  That said, said troubles will not touch Natalie while she's working within the halls of the Boston Cathedral
  While all this is going on, Laura has a spell up to detect lies
  The Baroness is withholding some information, but she's not lying
- March 23rd
  Morning
  The group head to the 9th Ward and help the destitute there, asking them in the process for the location of the Mass
  After a busy morning, the group successfully finds and helps someone who knows where to find the Mass
  They are in the 4rd Ward, basically just down the street from the Cathedral
  However, someone must have recognized and reported Natalie, because a whole squad of Soldiers just showed up
  Laura and Maelys run around a corner, the later turning invisible
  Natalie attempts to lead them off to another Ward, but don't do a particularly good job of it
  Fortunately, Jess uses mind magic to impersonate a soldier and point them in completely the wrong direction, allowing the group to escape without further confrontation
  Afternoon
  The group head to the Boston Mass
  The Mass is held in a gutted out old building
  The group is greeted by a large man in simple vestments:
  Brother Alexander Anderson

Session 11
- No Maelys this week
- March 23rd (Part 2)
  Afternoon
  The group meet with Brother Alexander Anderson of the Boston Mass
  The group ask Anderson what he wants and invite him to meet with the BAR
  He wants more funds for his church, and a bigger place to hold it as close or closer to the center of town as the current one
  Evening
  The group meet with Alyx Freeman and Brother Anderson at a pub
  The barman receives a parcel addressed to "Dances with Flame" AKA Jess
  It's a letter from Wheel of Fortune, telling the group that Hexagon Mages will be arriving in the city in a little over a week, unless delayed by bad weather
  Anderson obviously dislikes Alyx and needs to be convinced to even let her talk
  He eventually agrees to hear her out, and sets terms for allying the Boston Mass with the BAR
  They need to guarantee that Catholics will be able to practice openly without persecution
  They need to make a good faith attempt to kick the Vampire Brothel out of the Boston Cathedral
  Later
  Jess meets with Professor Knight and asks about Charles
  He says that Charles is a good lab assistant but has not yet demonstrated much in novel ideas. However, he also notes that he likely has years of college left ahead of him and therefore plenty of time to find that spark of inspiration
  Jess admits that she's distantly related to Charles and Knight comments that he should ask for some blood samples from him to look for commonalities between him and Jess
- March 24th
  Morning
  The group goes shopping and pick up several materials necessary to manufacture new bullets for Laura's Wild West Revolver
  Natalie is spotted in the market while shopping due to her infamy
  Afternoon
  Natalie and Jess go to the Boston College Library while Laura stays at the clock tower, using different methods to research the artifact they recovered from the bank
  While in the Library Nalatie is spotted again, but quick thinking and some magic from Jess hide her presence sufficiently to avoid problems from it
  They learn the following information about the artifact:
  The supernal realm it's closest to is Stygia, and it is related to the magic of Vampires and one other, unknown type of supernatural
  It's called the Bloody Scale, and is part of a set of artifacts called Bloody Aspects
  Bloody Aspects are used by consuming them and give discipline-like powers to Vampires who use them
  It is unclear whether they will work for non-vampires
  Vampires can "bleed out" Aspects they've eaten to remove them from their bodies, but this would probably be lethal to a Mage or Changeling
  Eating one of these things is probably bad for integrity, but fine for Wisdom/Clarity
  It won't turn you into a Vampire
  Particularly obsessed Ordo Dracul can make new Aspects, but it's always fatal to their creators
  They can learn what the first discipline/power is if they eat it
  Evening
  Natalie spends the evening at her new job, at the Cathedral
  She talks to Baroness Carla Williams about Violet's request to join new Carthage
  Williams is hesitant to agree to anything, but eventually agrees to hear out an intermediary of Violet's (Violet is banned from the establishment for another 13 years)
  Williams wants the follow things from new Carthage (and by extension, the PCs)
  She doesn't want her Brothel to be disrupted
  She wants guarentee that they will protect the Cathedral, and the Brothel within it, from hostile forces
  She wants to make sure Violet's plan doesn't get derailed in a way that'll kill most of all of the Vampires
  The Baroness also notes that Violet Waters tends to make huge messes and often fails to consider the consequences of her actions, but can effect a lot of change in the process of self-destructing

Session 12
March 24th
- Jess is exhausted from Anemia today
- Morning
  The group finally head to the Changeling Freehold
  They learn about the changing of of the courts. Winter will change to Spring on the first new moon after the Spring Equinox
  The seasons are biased in Boston, with Winter having a longer reign and Summer a shorter one
  The reason the seasons are biased is due to an interaction between the Promethean Guard, elite soldiers who cause the weather to storm, and the Viscount, whose presence lengthens and amplifies the harshness of winter.
  The group check out some bounties while they're at the freehold
  They investigate the bounty for "Brett Sadface", which is mysteriously lacking in details and Blood Money, the bounty board manager, has no memory of
  Jess is able to use magic to determine that a connection has been severed from Blood Money, and the group assume this has to do with the whole Brett Sadface thing
  They also look at other bounties, and decide to look into Seven Fingers, a Hobgoblin who has been stealing from both the Spring and Autumn Courts
  Catching him will probably make convincing those two courts to join a political faction an easier sell
  On their way out from the Freehold, the group is attacked by an huge, armoured individual

  After the encounter with the presumed Promethean, the group decides to spoil themselves with a bath and spa treatment at Demeter's pleasure house

  The group then gets side-tracked and does some magic to track the body of the Promethean they killed
  Like seriously they completely forgot to investigate Seven-Fingers, who's recently targeted this location for burgulary

March 24th (Pt. 2)
- Afternoonish
  The group investigate Demeter's house of pleasures looking for Seven Fingers
  They get permission to check the storage room, where Demeter's goblin fruit are stored and have been burgled
  Jess offers to try to scry on the last thing that was stolen using its container, which was left behind, as a sympathetic yantra
  They get really lucky. Not only has Seven-Fingers not yet eaten the Fruit, but he's present in the House of Pleasure!
  Jess does some more magic
  Like, way too much
  She ends this scene with all but one health box filled with resistant bashing from containing paradox
  That's a lot!
  But the spells all work, and she's able to quickly zero in on Seven-Fingers, bypassing several layers of defense and winning a clash of wills
  They confront Seven-Fingers. The Hobgoblin tries to pass himself off as an innocent bystandard, but the group isn't fooled
  He's clothslined by Maelys when he tries to make a breakaway and then dragged to Demeter
  Demeter is impressed that the group caught him so quickly. She offers to immediately pay out his bounty to the group, bypassing the need to de-finger him (or drag him all the way to the bounty board) themselves
  They get as much goblin fruit as they can carry (IE: 6) from a curated list of options
  Catching Seven-Fingers pleases the Spring and Fall Courts, reducing the recruitment requirements for both
- Evening
  The group sneak into the College to investigate the corpse of the Promethean they killed, which was moved to a lab on campus
  They get in easily, but Natalie makes too much noise trying to steal the Promethean's armour and they are almost immediately discovered
  They get away safely, but security around the corpse is increased and tension increases in the city
March 25th
- Morning
  The group go chase down Coyote to recruit to their cause
  They promise him some violence and Maelys cashes in her good status with the Summer King
  Coyote agrees to go along with whichever faction they want him to support...just so long as he doesn't need to be involved too much in non-changeling politics

  The group decide to help Natalie track down some more supplies for making explosives!
  They don't have everything they want, but they do have what they need to start making gunpowder...well, except for practice at making gunpowder

  The group meet up with Violet to deliver Baroness Amelia's message to her and also to ask for some explosives

  The group head home to the clock tower and find a trio of strangers with bikes outside
  After a slightly tense introduction, it's revealed that the group are mages
  They get invited inside to talk and drink tea
  The group introduce themselves as The Finder of Ways, a legacy cabal who have been exploring NA to map out its Lay Lines

  The group decide to stake out the Lower Court House, which they need to blow up to fully get Demeter and the Spring Court on board
  With some sneaky spell work they determine that they could probably accomplish their goal by sabotaging the heating, which is gas based and not really up to modern safety standards

  Natalie gives a favour to Baroness Amelia in exchange for clearing up her notoriety

- The city is filled with unrest, on the cusp of riots

  Natalie prepares a pipe bomb to detonate a gas explosion in the court house
- Afternoon
  Time to blow up a court house
  The group easily infiltrate the lower court house with invisibility
  Natalie sabotages the furnace to flood the building with gas while Maelys turns off the gas lamps to prevent a premature explosion
  The explosive is placed in the furnace to detonate the explosion; Jess uses Mind Magic to ensure it's not discovered
  After the explosive is in place, Jess mentally dominates the soldiers in charge of defending the court house to clear it out
  It takes an hour for the building to fully flood with gas before the explosion can be detonated
  The group cut it close on this hour, but manage to make it without anyone trying to go back into the building
  ...And then it explodes, igniting riots throughout the city
- The Navy has been called in, and they will be in Boston within days to restore order

  The group talk to Stoneface, the Autumn Court Monarch

  The group reconvene at the Clocktower long enough to properly bandage Natalie and let her wait up

- Two Naval Ships arrive in harbour, guns pointing at the city to quiet down the rioting
- Earlier
  Maelys spends the day talking with Dawn Gold. She wants to figure out what she wants and how to get her into a better place to live
  Dawn Wants:
  More Knowledge about Magic in general and Changeling Magic specifically
  She wants to go to the college
  She wants to live somewhere better
  ...But she doesn't have the money to pursue the things she wants, and she needs to live near the Hospital for her work as a Nurse
  She also mentions that she's been extra busy at the hospital lately, both treating people hurt in the riots and preparing for an expecting increase in patients should the ships bombard on the city
  Given this information, Maelys decides to try to get Dawn a Scholarship or, more likely, a patron, that will allow her to attend Boston College

  Maelys and Natalie sneak onto The Red Lady, one of the two ships currently pointing guns at boston
  Maelys turns into an owls and sneaks invisibly into the armoury while the ship is dealing with a comotion
  She steals powder and a gun while there
  Natalie climbs in through a gun door, is immediately spotted and causes a commotion
  She gets away after cutting up a guy and being beaten half unconscious with a stick
  She decides to head for the captains cabin, where she reveals herself
  She is immediately shot by a lieutenant in the room
  Despite all this, she manages to bluff her way into a private talk with the Captain (while he's in the process of locking her in the brigg)
  She reveals that she's a changeling from the future to the Captain, George Kampfer, who's the ancestor of Natalie's CO in the Martial Navy
  Against all fucking odds, George is receptive to this information, believes her and even asks what he can do to help
  Natalie sneaks off the ship after they're done talking, the Brigg left unlocked by a sympathetic Captain

March 30th
- Jess and Maelys decide to take advantage of Charles to get new living arrangements for Dawn Gold
- They use the Thornton documents they stole from the bank to determine that they can use Charles to force a better deal onto the Thorntons then Rose would agree to
- In exchange for financing Dawn's college attendance, they give Charles a letter of introduction to Baroness Amelia Hart
- On the way out they're confronted by some of Charles friends, who want to know what was up with Charles girlfriend
  The friends can't remember many details about her, but they're sure he used to have one, and that he's definitely acting like she never existed
  So the group investigates and they find that Charles has a severed connection like with what happened to the Brett Sadface bounty
  They try to track down what's going on with some magic in Charles apartment
  Turns out: Jess and Maelys also have severed connections!
  The one thing that's consistent is that the stronger the connection, the more thoroughly it's destroyed
March 31st
- The next day the group hear that there was a fire at the Railyard and decide to check it out
- A maintenance building burnt down during a storm, but the fire didn't spread
- They talk to Sootsweeper, a changeling who works at the trainyard and find some evidence of supernal magic
- The signature of the magic is gambling related and they put two and two together and decide to talk to Wheel of Fortune about it
- The Acanthus admits to burning down the place. He's cagey about his reasoning, but says that it was something unrelated to current city politics

April 1st
- Early in the morning the group hear back from Charles
  Rose ha agreed to hold up the deal the group made with Charles
  Her only qualifier is that Dawn must learn something "worthwhile"
- Afterwards, the group decent to head to the Slaughtered Lamb, the pub whose basement they lived in when they first arrived in Boston
  The broken connections they've found have followed a pattern of stronger connections being more thoroughly destroyed
  So they are looking for a broken connection which is weak enough to have enough threads left to repair
  ...But still strong enough to have not faded naturally
  So they got pretty lucky and the miser who runs this place has such a severed connection
  Jess does some magic to copy that connection and also repair it
- The group follow the connection back to Charles' place, where they enter the Hedge through a portal in his door
  A little hedge exploring later and they eventually find another portal out of the hedge
  This portal is being held open by weird tendrils
  Are they tentacles? Vines? Wiring?
  IDK man they're weird okay
  A little experimentation tells them that whatever's on the other side of the portal is responsible for the destroyed connections, but also it's hella dangerous
  They are reasonably confident that the portal leads to somewhere in Boston, but Boston's a big city and that doesn't quite narrow things down enough
- The group decide that they need to prepare more to tackle this nonsense and leave the Hedge through a different portal, returning to Boston
April 2nd
- Natalie comes up with an idea to make a radio transmitter to figure out where the portal leads to, so that they can approach whatever is causing this from another angle
  This is something she can totally do, with the main issue being getting enough power to to actually pick up the signal
- So Jess introduces Natalie to Professor Nikolas Knight to see if the Undead Alchemist can hook them up
  It turns out he can! He can provide supplies for Natalie to make Chemical Batteries or even manufacture something he calls "Alchemical Capacitors"
  Alchemical Capacitors are basically simple chemical batteries with some magic shit to make them work better
  Blood is involved
  Knight notes that the older the person from whom the blood comes, the better. Although of course Vitae is best
  In exchange for his help, Natalie gives him a recipe for making Lead-Acid batteries, as well as explaining the basic theory behind a number of other technologies
- Natalie then spends some time actually making the transmitters, receivers and batteries she needs to make this plan work
- While this is going on, Jess Co-Locates into the Thornton Library
  She learns a little of the (alt-)history of the clan
  The family's practice started with Rose's grandfather
  The family participated in the American Civil War on the side of the Americans
  The family's timeline diverged with the British Re-invasion of the Americas
  All of Rose's brother's died in the re-invasion, which left her firmly in charge of the family
  She also learns a little bit more about their magic
  Some of the linear magic the family uses allows them to effect the minds of others
  This magic is not particularly strong, and the powers of the Thornton Demon are much more potent
  However, though weak, their linear magic is very subtle

April 3rd
- Jess and Maelys decide to check out the abandoned former base of the Boston Mass
  The place has now been thoroughly cleaned out of anything worth taking. No hostiles lie in wait
  They investigate the upstairs. They find some evidence of burnt documents, but nothing intact
  A little scrying allows Jess to determine that Anderson is hiding out somewhere in a cellar
  Unfortunately, Boston is full of those. Tuesday afternoon, as it turns out, is not the best time to scry on a religious fugitive
- In the evening, the pair decide to steal cannons from The Red Lady in the harbour
  They use magic to infiltrate the ship via the Armoury
  They quickly raid the armoury before moving onto the first gun deck
  Jess manages to use magic to steal 12 cannons, about half of what's on the ship, before being discovered
  She tries to mind whammy the soldier who discovered her, but it doesn't work out. Good thing invisibility is cheap!
April 4th
- The group spend the day working and moving Dawn Gold in with Maelys before attending the changing of the seasons at the Changeling Freehold
- Basically every changeling in the city is present at the ceremony
  Including Lozzie Light, who's recently had a bounty placed on her
- Doing violence at the event would be heavily frowned upon, but the exact wording of the bounty means that it's technically unnecessary!
- So Maelys has a talk with Lozzie Light and then turns in her bounty
  Lozzie is pretty indoctrinated with the whole Catholic thing, but seems to have a much more accepting take than Brother Anderson...if only she could be separated from the fanatic
  Also they hold hands and dance
- Lady Snow hands the throne over to Demeter without incident
- On the night when Spring takes hold, a flash of green appears in the sky, followed by a shooting star
  An ominous omen?
  Natalie recognizes this as the tell-tale flash of an Arcadia Drive. The FTL Engine from her future that pierces into Arcadia
  She knows what this means. Her huntsman has come

April 5th
- The group return to the Hedge-Side of the connection-eating portal to throw Natalie's Radio Transmitter through it
  While there, they are attacked by one of the tendrils that's holding open the portal
  It tries to grapple them, but they manage to get the transmitter through and run away
- By the time they return to Boston, they've forgotten about the transmitter, but lots of notes are enough to remind them of what they were doing
- They use the receiver to track down the broadcast signal to the basement of the Boston College Humanities Building
  Once there they all stealth up and head in. A huge machine made from flesh and blood and bone seems to be the source of the problem
  A fight ensues
  Natalie disassembles the machine while dodging biting gears
  Jess slings spells to disable it and help the others
  Maelys tears it apart piece by piece with her claws
  As the fight drags on, the machine eats the memories of the party, temporarily reducing their skills
  When it becomes clear that it can't win the fight, it triggers a structural collapse of the whole building, then attempts to flee through the Hedge Portal it's been holding open
  Maelys & Jess jump through the portal to try and finish it off on the other side, despite the risk of entering tendril range
  Natalie, on the other hand, decides to jump directly into the machines maw instead, allowing her to continue disassembling the thing even as it cuts her up.
  They finish off the machine just as Jess accidentally creates an Abyssal terrain, stirring up a whirlwind in the hedge that obscures vision and erodes everything in it

The Week of the 9th of April
- Papers are reporting on all of the events around the Red Lady beaching without actually directly saying it. Censors are strained. Everyone knows that the Red Lady beached in the city
- Thomas finds a place to live
  He checks The Slaughtered Lamb and quickly determines it's a pretty shit place to live
  Not terrible to hide out in if you're really out of other options, though
  He eventually settles in to look around and finds a small flat in the first ward
  It's small and overpriced, but he can afford it with his commission and it's just his
- Maelys finds a place for Lozzy Light to sing
  She tries a number of places ranging in reputability and willingness to let an unknown on the stage
  Eventually she settles on a College pub. It's one of the nicer places that's looking for new entertainment. The main problem is the patrons, but Maelys can make some rowdy drunk college boys keep their hands to themselves
- Natalie leads a wilderness expedition
  The group head out of town for a few days to chase rumours of a star that fell into the mountains
  They have some vague directions and manage to narrow them down further by asking local farmers
  After most of a day searching the wilderness, they find a clearing with a large scar of dirt plowed through it
  They follow the scare and it leads to what for all the world looks like an escape pod from Natalie's ship, but for the fact that it's made entirely of wood.
  Inside the pod they find a letter, which gives Natalie a Love Bite and Maelys a nasty papercut before opening to reveal a pretty scary letter
  It was left behind by Natalie's Huntsman for her to find. The Huntsman is coming.
  Jess uses the pod and the letter to scry on the Huntsman
  She sees an ultra closeup of some of her features. A maid's dress. Teeth sharpened into points. Black eyes.
  When Jess looks at her through the Scrying Window, the Huntsman seems to look back at her. Smiling lustully with bloody teeth
  When Jess closes the window, the Huntsman's eyes shift to meet Natalies. She winks.
  Natalie burns the wooden pod to down from the inside before the group leaves to return to Boston
- Anyway it's time to take care of that other ship in the harbour
  Thomas and Natalie use Changeling bullshit to impersonate officers of the Navy, while Maelys tags along invisibly as they board the ship
  Our false officers attempt to convince the captain that sabotage is imminent
  They suggest that the saboteur is actually a rogue Vampire, and virtually undetectable until it's too late
  They push for the Captain to abandon his ship, but he's unwilling to do so without written orders to that effect
  Instead he settles on a compromise and, after some convincing, pulls the ship into the naval port, disembarking all but a skeletal crew
  Meanwhile, Maelys heads into the powder room and preps a timed explosive that Natalie provided
  Maelys mishandles the explosive somewhat. It doesn't exactly explode in her face, but it's fuse has been shortened an unpredictable amount
  The explosion goes off while Maelys is still on the ship. She's out of range of the initial blast, but catches shrapnel from secondary explosions
  Her stealth is ruined by her injury, but the remaining crew on the ship are too busy jumping into the harbour for their lives to notice her
  She turns into a bat and flies away, finally being spotted as she makes her escape, already out of range of any rifles that are on hand
  The second ship is destroyed. The Royal Wharf is badly damaged in the process. The Siege of Boston has been lifted

April 16
- Wheel of Fortune's help from the Hexagon arrives
  She goes by Jacobin, a Silver Ladder Mastigos
  She and Jess have a talk with each other. Introductions occur
  Jess gets the sales pitch on joining the Hexagon Generally, the Diamond Specifically and the Ladder Preferably
- Meanwhile, Natalie makes some Napalm
April 21
- The group get an message to meet with the BAR
  It's go time. Or at least, almost go time. The BAR lays out their plan. Locations to occupy, key objectives to accomplish, Important Vampires to assassinate
  Everything will start tomorrow at noon
- Afterwards, the group are all asked to go meet with Violet to do a similar briefing with New Carthage
  The two groups are coordinating, but only on the barest possible level.
  They're planning to do their things at the same time, splitting the focus of the Soldiers but also increasing the chances of complications due to the two groups having competing objectives
  While the group is talking with Violet, she introduces her newest Maid, Sanguine
  Yep it's actually the Huntsman
  Thomas does some changeling bullshit to reveal the Maid's glamour, allowing everyone present, most importantly Violet, to see through it
  Violet immediately puts a bullet through her skull. She stays standing
  Then Natalie uses her Nalpalm
  It doesn't kill the Huntsman (nothing really can), but it does drive her to retreat for the moment
  Still have all that Napalm burning in Violet's place, though...
  Jess uses Space Magic to contain the fire so that only the room they are in is ruined
- Late in the night, Natalie goes to check up on George Kampfer
  Natalie offers him a chance to be a Captain again, this time flying the banner of revolution
  George is undecided on this topic and needs to sleep on it
April 22
- It's the day of the rebellion
- All the city needs is a spark to get things going
  The group decide to provide that spark
  Thomas writes up a rousing speech, Natalie raids the BAR for some flags, and they split into 3 to rouse the masses
  They are extremely successful, and manage to use their impromptu performance to put a friendly changeling in charge of the crowds

- Scared off all of the police in the police barracks with magic & changeling bullshit

- Next up they recruited Molly and lured Abraham Hound to Coyote's fight pit to assassinate him

April 22 (Night)
- Abraham Hound takes the bait, and shows up to Coyote's arena
  He doesn't completely alone however, and has 4 undead hunting hounds with him
  He also doesn't have Auspex, and everyone but Thomas and Molly get the drop on him with various forms of invisibility
  One hit from everyone is enough to knock him into torpor, despite his high levels of resilience, but not before he can order his dogs to attack
  Jess uses mind magic to force the undead dogs to stay still while Molly does the grisly work of tearing them to pieces
  Once the encounter is over, the group decide to cut of Abraham's head as a trophy. This causes his flesh to disintegrate into dust, leaving only bones behind
- The group decide to rest through the rest of the night, recovering some much needed reserves
April 23
- While the group was sleeping, the Boston Mass (The Catholics) struck and took control over the Hospital
  This could be worse, since British forces still controlled the hospital
  But it did disperse the BAR forces which were trying to take the location, so that's something else the group will need to deal with
- The party decides to focus some attention on securing the beached military ship so they (rather the BAR) can use it to take control of the harbour
  They quickly determine that they need manpower. Both skilled shipwrights to repair the damage of beaching and raw manual power to get it back into the water
  Fortunately they know someone who has both, and go talk up Wheel of Fortune
  He agrees to lend the people they need in exchange for 2 things:
  He wants the group to go help New Carthage take back the other commercial wharf so that he can use the facilities
  He wants a favour from Natalie for the usage of his harbour barges
- So everyone heads up to the other Wharf to see what they can do
  The soldiers have heavily fortified every major route into the harbour with barricades and cannons
  New Carthage can sneak some people in through the buildings around the perimeter, but not enough to get much done, and the Vampiric Soldiers are up to the task of slowing down the Vampiric rebels at night.

  Thomas uses changeling bullshit to make himself appear as a British Runner
  He has his friends shoot at him while running up to the barricade to help sell the deception and takes some shrapnel for his trouble
  He gets into the fortifications and is quickly directed to the day commander, a Leiutenant-Colonel
  Thomas spins a tale of a verbal message considered too important to record to paper. He claims that much of the rebels in the city have been routed and the Viscount is deploying the Promethean Guard to break the siege on the harbour
  There are flaws in this story, but Thomas is convincing and the stressed out day commander really wants the win
  He listens when Thomas tells him to deploy an assault once a signal flare is visible
  The ambush is successful, and the soldiers are routed, abandoning the harbour, but not without taking or sabotaging any heavy ordinance they had

Woops.
Ah Well.
Top Highlights:
- Jess sneaks into Citadel Boston to disrupt British Communications
  She ends up dodging Promethean Guards, who can see through the magic she's used to disguise herself
  She does make it to the communications room and tells them (truthfully) that the rebels have intercepted communications and started forging the seals of British Officers
  This doesn't totally disrupt communications, but it does slow them to a crawl, as it forces the British Forces to verify every message they receive
  Jess is spotted on the way out of the Citadel and quickly Spaces out of the place
- The group finish repairing the Red Lady and send it off into the harbour under the care of the BAR
  Some Soldiers come along and try to take over the work site
  Natalie manages to intimidate most of them away
  One Vampiric Soldier remains, watching from a distance with the intention of boarding the ship once it takes to the water
  He's scared off when it becomes clear that the crew know he's there
- The group head to Boston College to deal with a conflict between the BAR and New Carthage. They convince the former to leave the Carthage occupied college alone for now while they collectively finish securing the city.

Session 28
April 23rd (Cont)
- The group head to Boston Hospital to parlay with the Boston Mass (AKA The Catholics)
- After some debate, they decide to go in with a BAR representative but no Carthaginian, reasoning that a Vampire would only make things worse with the zealots.
  The group are allowed in after being subjected to baptisms. Brother Anderson meets them in a surgical theatre which he's using as a war room, surrounded by armed supporters.
  Negotiations start off tense.
  The team want the Catholics to leave, ideally the city and certainly the hospital.
  Anderson claims to be there to defend healers from heathens and demons and other religious propaganda
  Jess makes a point that the zealots could just fucking leave and find somewhere with less people they hate, with Thomas making an impactful reference to Moses wandering the desert
  Anderson is surprised to find himself actually agreeing with the sentiment, and in particularly fancying the biblical comparison.
  He issues some demands, mostly for securing travel, but agrees to leave with his followers to find or found a holy land or some other nonsense for his zealots.
April 24th
- The Promethean Guard is fully deployed while the party rests. This would be more impactful had they slouched on chasing objectives because...
- It's time to go after the Viscount!
- The BAR has a plan for assaulting the Citadel during the day
  They would like the group to cause a distraction if possible, so that they can hopefully carry out the assault with fewer casualties
  And they want them to go after the Viscount, to make sure he can't get away
  Before they leave, a Day-Drowsy Violet warns the players that this Viscount has powerful ice powers, and he could easily kill them if they allow him to rouse from his sleep
- The group stealth up, Jess covering Thomas as well, and then Co-Locate into an empty room in the Citadel
  They have a near-miss with a Promethean who fails to see through Jess' invisibility and then make their way to the fort's powder room.
  Jess then uses her Heartstone powers to create a firework, which Natalie lights and throws into the powder room.
  The group flee, Jess using more Co-Locate to allow them to escape the blast radius just before the detonation
  The explosion is clearly heard from outside and cries of alarm soon follow, but it doesn't seem to do more than superficial damage to the structure itself.
- Next up is the Viscount's Manner, where Thomas has confirmed the man to be, presumably still sleeping
  The group get in without trouble and quickly make their way to the Viscount's apartments in the east wing, following Thomas' supernatural hunting prowess
  They decide to bypass the door to the apartments with some space magic and find themselves in a dark room lit only by candles, with a Veiled woman inside
  The woman, Octavia the Crow, is taken by surprise by Maelys, allowing the Changeling to quickly grapple her
  She siphons blood from Maelys through her skin, but Maelys promptly lights herself with sunlight
  A flare gun shot and a sabre stab later and Octavia drops into torpor, quickly burning to ash as the fire from the flare gun consumes her
- The Baron is behind the next door. They've almost made it.

Session 29
April 24th (Cont)
- The party use changeling bullshit to create a second door into the Viscount's room and enter from there
- They go in with Thomas at the front and Maelys in the back, the later still shining with the light of the sun
- The room is unlit, but for Maelys' radiance. The Viscount is asleep on a large four posted bed with this curtains around it.
- Also there's a couple of Promethean Guards standing inside with guns points at the door.
  Thomas takes some bullets to the chest, but shrugs them off
  Maelys enters to grapple a changeling
  Natalie throws but misses with some Nalpalm
  Jess uses mind magic to try to force the Prometheans to shoot themselves, but the abyss twists the spell and causes it to effect her friends as well
  This forces her to cancel the spell early, before her friends have the chance to shoot themselves
  Natalie makes a run for the Viscount, staking him through the heart and, in disrupting the curtains around him, allowing enough of Maelys' sunlight to shine on him to set him aflame
  The Promethean not grappled by Maelys turns around and slashes at Natalie with a sword
  She and Thomas trade a few blows with it but manage to fight it off, partially with the help of Jess, who bends space to injure both Prometheans
- Eventually they put down both soldiers, collect their breath, and quickly search the room before it's taking up by flames
  Jess faints due to smoke inhilation
  Maelys steals an outfit from the Viscount's wardrobe
  Thomas finds a note that was seemingly left for Natalie, more psychological warfare from her Huntsman
- They all go to leave, opening a portal into the hedge threw the door they made to enter
  The Corpsemaid appears and tries to physically shut the portal, with Natalie on one side and her friends on the other
  Maelys spots her just in time to jump through the portal, pulling Jess and Thomas with her
  The group are in no shape for another fight and decide to try to lose the huntsman in the hedge, splitting up
  Natalie tries stealth
  Maelys, carrying the unconcious Jess, goes for pure speed
  Thomas tries to distract the Corpsemaid and relies on his ability to easily navigate the hedge
  The Huntsman, seeing them split decides to pursue Natalie, her primary target
  Natalie is nearly caught, but manages to throw off the Huntsman by shaping the hedge around her into facsimiles of maintenance tunnels and the winding metal corridors of her home
  The group all escape and proceed to pass the fuck out and rest for 12 hours
April 25th
- The rebel coalition have successfully captured the Citadel
- The Boston Mass are on their way out of Boston to go be someone else's problem
- The Viscount's Mansion has burned down
- And some allies died in the fighting
  In particular, two notable members of the Summer Court
  Sootsweeper...
  ...And Auburn Coyote, the Summer King

DT3: Provisional Governance

Boston has been taken. Good job! Now it's time to lick your wounds from the battle and make sure that the leadership isn't going to lead straight into disaster.

Session 30
- Provisional Government
  New Carthage and The BAR are in charge of Boston
  They're not coming to blows, but they sure aren't getting much done, either
  They need a mediator
  The group (with some magical help) push through a partial solution by establishing a jury of Boston citizens to act as tie breakers for the two factions
  This bought time, got running a community watch, and ensured that any other political factions they introduce later will have less power than they otherwise would have
- The Prince in Red
  Maelys meets with Lady Snow to talk about the Prince
  Lady Snow has a poor opinion of the Prince, calling him boorish on more than one occasion
  She says that he wants Summer to be an army and for for all of the other courts to support Summer in their war against those loyal to the Fae
  However, she does think that he would make a competent Summer King, and regardless of desired would be unlikely to cause further political issues for the other courts
  Maelys & Thomas meet with the Prince
  The Prince believes that he is the best candidate for Summer King on the basis that he's both (one of) the strongest summer changelings and also the local changeling who best embodies the season
  He freely admits that he earned Demeter's ire by stealing from her, and expresses regret at having done so
  Thomas's political ambitions
  Thomas decides that, given the options, the Summer King may as well be himself. he starts making plans to win the throne
- Temporal Plagiarism
  Natalie decides to "invent" radio
  She can't quite manage to secure funding from the rebel government, but they say they might change their tune if she can demonstrate a working prototype
  That said, she might have to wait around a bit as they devote resources to more essential things
- Mage Training
  Jess trains with Jacobin and learns High Speech in exchange for an oath to not deal with the Abyss or the Lower Depths
  She offers to teach Jess more if she joins a Diamond Order
  She also talks about some philosophy on magic, revolution and self-improvement

- Future Inventions
  Natalie demonstrates a prototype of a simple radio transmitter (basically a wireless telegraph)
  The Provisional Government is interested in helping her get an electric generator up and running, but doesn't have the resources to spare for it right now
  However, they do know who does have the resources
  It's Jean Petite AKA Wheel of Fortune
  Wheel of Fortune offers to fund and manufacture Natalie's devices in exchange for shared ownership over them
  He takes the greater share of ownership (and therefore profit) from the inventions, but still leaves enough for Natalie to have some decent income from them
  Wheel of Fortune also says that he'd consider it a favour done for Natalie to help him get a seat at the table of the provisional government
- Helping Molly
  Maelys meets up with Molly
  The young Werewolf is doing better than she was, as she's no longer hunted, but she's still far from home
  Generally speaking, she wants the following:
  She would like to return to her pack, but doesn't know how to find or contact them
  She would like to be less isolated, but doesn't really want to socialize with English Colonizers (and has a language barrier with them anyway)
  Maelys decides to track down and meet with Raccoon to see if the mage might be able to help
  Raccoon doesn't know where Molly's pack is, but she does think she might be able to help
  She agrees to meet with Molly and will tell Maelys how it goes later
- Changeling Politics
  Thomas approaches the Monarchs of the other courts for support for summer this year (also strengthening his position as a potential new Summer Monarch)
  Lady Snow & Demeter agree to lend help during Summer
  Demeter throws in for free how to find some unaligned changelings to potentially recruit, as she likes that Thomas is opposing the Prince in Red's claim
  Stoneface also agrees to help, but only in exchange for Thomas helping the Autumn court get a seat on the Provisional Government
  Thomas needs the following to recruit as many changelings as possible into summer under himself as Monarch:
  He needs an existing community which he can point to as a place for Changelings to be a part of
  He needs to simply persuade some of them to get off the fence and join him
  He needs to demonstrate that Summer under him will be meaningfully different than it was under Coyote or would be under The Red Prince
  Thomas gets started on that community building thing. He uses Changeling Bullshit to plan a supernatural scheme and looks into what sort of investments he needs to establish a political faction in Boston
- Astral Travels
  Jess travels the astral, collecting connections to courthouses in different places to plant coins she's soaked in her nimbus as Connect Beacons to those places
  Jess enters her Oneiros with Jacobin to confront her demons
  They view a bunch of Jess's memories and Jacobin gets clues that Jess is from another time
  Eventually they are confronted by an extremely antagonistic Goetia who encouraged Jacobin to be punitive and harsh towards Jess
  It looks like an older version of Jess, dressed like her Mother, with all of the negative aspects of a Matron and none of the positive
  This is Jess's Daimon
  Jacobin notes that, while not unusual, it is uncommon for a Daimon to be this hostile, and it is something Jess most definitely is going to want to work

- Molly the Werewolf
  Maelys gets a drop in from Raccoon
  Raccoon has spoken to Molly. She can't really help Molly much herself, but she does know someone who can
  She relays that she's sent a message to a Werewolf she knows named Diane, who's whole thing is sort of looking after people like Molly
  She finishes saying she'll be leaving the city soon, but leaves Maelys a fetish which she can use to send Raccoon a message if needed
- The Thornton Demon
  Jess decides it's time to resummon a demon, this time with her friends
  They want to ask Azazel about the whole time travel thing, and the Demon has a few answers
  He claims that something fucked with the timeline in a bigger way than normal and probably destroyed themselves doing it
  This is relevant because he thinks someone else did a bit more fuckery to bring a bunch of people through time and space to maybe try and fix some of the damage from that first fuckening
  What he doesn't know is what exactly got changed (though the players probably have a few guesses on this) or who did either of the cases of temporal fuckening
  Natalie asks how to get a message back to her future
  Azazel suggest burying a letter, or perhaps talking to her Huntsman about having the Archfae do it, since it's a being powerful enough and out of time enough to do this sort of thing
  Azazel finishes off by quizzing Jess a bit on her family and leaving her a copper book with a lock on it but no key
  Jess uses magic to track down this key and finds it buried in the grave of Rose Thornton's father, the man who founded the Thornton Cult
- The Summer Court
  Thomas has moderate but not exceptional success recruiting Courtless Changelings into Summer with the message that they don't need to be soldiers, actually
  The group also decide to talk to a Goblin Information Broker about Natalie's Huntsman
  They find a guy who's about 50% neck who's willing to sell them info in exchange for a year and a day or Thomas' service to be collected at a time of the goblin's choosing no sooner than 10 years hence
  He reveals that the Huntsman bought all the information she could from the market about Natalie, as well as enough supplies to stock a small faeish pantry
  He also notes that she paid with things obvious harvested from humans, the presumed victims of the Corpsemaid
  He reveals that the Corpse Maid entered and left the area via the deep hedge, which is presumably where her respawn point is

- George Kampfer
  Natalie runs off to talk to George with Thomas
  George is doing better than he was during the siege, but still not exactly good
  He feels useless and restless, but isn't willing to sail against the British Empire on the grounds of having sworn an oath
  Natalie convinces him of a compromise, to sign up to be a commercial ship captain instead
- Cult Building
  Jess spends some time building her Mystery cult and recruits Charles Thornton to sign up
- The Summer Solstice
  It's time to crown a new Summer Monarch!
  Thomas has gathered a lot of support to back up his claim to the throne
  Meanwhile The Prince in Red has an army of Goblins and is arguably a better fighter
  The Prince arrives at the stroke of midnight, only to be met by Demeter, Spring Monarch, blocking his way to the throne
  The ownership of the Summer Throne, she says, is in contention
  Thomas and His Redness compare dicks and find that Thomas now has the better claim, having done the bulk of the work repopulating the court after the heavy loses they suffered during the Siege of Boston
  So his Redness challenges Thomas for the Throne, and for weapons Thomas selects the court itself as his weapon
  This is a bad look for his Redness, as by trying to claim the throne it paints him in position to the court he would rule
  But he's not willing to be back down, so declares himself a conqueror and summons his Goblin Army
  Unfortunately for the Prince, he didn't plan on having to summon an army of goblins tonight, and attendance of those who answer his calls is not as much as he'd prefer. Thomas has the better army
  The two groups have a mock battle in the freehold and Thomas wins
  His Redness is allowed to leave for exile in the Hedge and swears not to harass members of the Summer Court who pass him by
  Thomas takes the throne. The scenery of the freehold instantly shifts to summer iconography as defined by Thomas. He is the new Summer King
- Aftermath
  As the after party is winding down, every firearm in the freehold discharges simultaneously
  No one is injured by this, but a lot of plates and bowls are broken
  Natalie gets very drunk and the group decide to walk her hold
  On the way there, they are intercepted by a shadowy man with pointed ears
  He leaves a letter for them addressed to Maelys and disappears into the shadows
  The letter is simple:
  I'm here to make America Great Again
  And I'm going to start by Dealing with You

  Maelys' Huntsman has arrived
