Right on the edges of the Unending Fields you come across a serene grassy plain and you can make out the small rustic village of Oldmeadow on the horizon. Walking towards the village you can see a windmill creaking slowly with the breeze in the center of town, and a small smattering of other buildings which seem purpose built: an inn, blacksmith, farms and a stable; tied to one of the poles is a large spotted deer with twisting antlers.
The smattering of buildings is a haven for those who were displaced by the battles that have taken place over the years, but no matter which side of the wars they originally claimed, in Oldmeadow differences have been cast aside in order to live peacefully.
Within town limits using magical ability is strictly prohibited because of the peculiar energy it was built on. Like the rest of the Fields, time passes differently in Oldmeadow and the people who make it their home choose to stay knowing that should they ever expend a large amount of magical energy again it could mean their death.
