Built along the mighty waters that split Kyrandia in two, hidden deep in the rolling dunes of the desert is the empire of Solaria. Approaching it from the surface visitors only see a few scattered buildings surrounded by rocks and low brush, however, beneath the sands thrives a city protected by an old magic.
On one side sits an ancient sandstone and white clay settlement built directly into the rock, which glints against the light of the sun that beams from above. Home to many of Kyrandia's original people, as the city grew, they used their abilities to create underground farms which grow hardy fruits and vegetables that can withstand the harsh heat of the desert.
On the other side of the river is the Sandstorm Fortress said to be built by Freeborn Tempest, the first King of the Waves. It is connected to an underground river which exits near the Unending Fields.
Connecting the old and new halves of the empire is the Central Exchange, where shipbound travelers from across the world come to meet, trade wares and begin their lives anew.
