So big points from the time(s) before this session
- Cult of the Moonwell attempted assassination on Tulane. Felix saves him and dies in the process. Tulane dresses Felix, keeping him in the Albatross at a table.
- The crew of Sam, Whitmont, 7/12, Bell, Tau the Tinker Boy and Artiss find Sand and Mermaid, long lost children for Bell and Tulane respectively. Also Orbit and Zee? two people from the previous fountain run who were missing.
- The Tyrant comes to the Fountains seemingly as a rescue but turns out to be a kill squad of Tulane's men sent by the Cult of the Moonwell, led by Captain Shan. 7/12 jumps in the water with Bell and Sand, disappearing. Whitmont raises the beating Heart artifact which releases a blast of psychic energy causing head bleeding to all involved. Sam jumps in the water with Artiss and Tinker boy to escape but Tau isn't quick enough. He dies. Whitmont moves the Merciless causing the Tyrant to crash into the fountains.
- All the while, Tulane is visiting Hermit and Ocean in the Tower from time to time. He eats and talks with them.
- We escape with the water. We stop briefly in the Stew to hide from the Tyrant. Sam and Whitmont talk to Mercer and are given safe passage. Sam attempts to heal Mercer's leg but only succeeds in alleviating his pain for a short time.
- We bring Mermaid back to the Undertow to be reunited with Tulane. Tulane orders Sam to give Felix a proper burial.
So what even happened this time?
- 7/12 and Bell wake up in Sam's refuge. Nine has a chat with 7/12 about Mother or Robot things while Sam and Bell were chatting. Sam purposefully did not hear any of that conversation for fun mystery purposes. Bell shares that his wife was lost to the Drowned. Sam shares some info about her refuge, her mother who is now a Drowned and some thoughts about wanting to create a cure. 7/12 does not know where she left Sand or where he went. The group decides to go speak with Tulane about a ship in order to look for Sand.
- Lime tells seamen jokes.
- Tulane speaks to his people, summons Whitmont. He wants Whitmont to make the Albatross fly again. The rest of the group shows up and Bell asks for a vessel. He dismisses everyone except Whitmont and talks Albatross.
- Bell and 7/12 go back to the Tower to speak with Hermit and Ocean. Bell tells Hermit that he wants to find Sand to take his rightful place as heir.
- I think the session ended with something...??
