The Drow worshiped Lolth, a deity who resides in the Abyss. Known as the Spider Queen or the Demon Queen of Spiders. She was the figure that the dark elves built their subterranean civilization. Whatever she demanded the Drow did. They were the wickedest of elves, Drow were seldom seen by the surface world. At least that's the way it was before Necromancers released the undead plague into the Underdark. The Drow were hit harder than the dwarves, and nearly went extinct. There are handfuls of Drow left in Greycoast. Some have allied with the remaining dwarves joining the Legion of the Dead to fight the undead hoard. Some have become wanderers, Others have created a new home in the North West of the Vuroja Rain Forest, calling themselves The Aul. They have abandoned Lolth, after she forsake them and let so many of them die. Anyone caught worshiping Lolth is executed. The Drow are working to build their reputation amongst the other humanoids in a post Lolth, post Plague world on the surface. Those born in the Underdark are typically smaller than human (4’10”) and have dark-vision 60’ , those born to parents born on the surface are average human height and have low light vision 80’
