Trivar II is an Outer Rim planet with a breathable atmosphere, but otherwise very hostile environment due to its low temperatures. Very little humanoid life is naturally sustained on the planet, most of its wildlife consists of microorganisms and large, slow-moving subterranean creatures.
For the Empire, however, a number of overtaken science outposts on the planet have become a key link in Imperial data transfer through the sector, and an older Galactic Republic detention centre has become a core prison location for Imperial prisoners.
Recently
In an effort to free a group of Rebel Alliance pilots taken captive at the Glare Peak Detention Centre, The Omega Crew sabotaged major parts of the detention centre and narrowly escaped the ire of the notorious Lord Vader during their getaway. Vader was en-route to the detention centre to personally interrogate the prisoners, and the crew managed to slip them away from right under his nose.
