Common Characteristics
An average dwarf stands around 4 to 4½ feet tall but with their broad stature they weigh as much as a typical human. Virtually all male dwarves are bearded (often braiding and/or decorating their beards with ornaments) and bearded females are not unheard of.
Perhaps due to a heritage of mining and living underground, most dwarves are stocky and tough, typically having a stronger constitution than humans and many other races. Many dwarves also possess the ability to see to at least some degree in the dark with minimal or even no lighting.
Dwarves are famously honourable and have strong ties their families and to their people. Their culture also places great importance on physical strength and combat ability. Although not all dwarves are warriors, most have at least some combat training and experience.
Nations
The majority of dwarves are split into two nations simply known as the Northern Dwarf Kingdom and the Southern Dwarf Kingdom.
