Swords was the site of a great battle many hundreds of years ago. Many say the fabled Fomorians and the Gods of Kel fought in an epic battle within the valley where the town of Swords stands.
Many of the surrounding mounds and hills have striking resemblances to humanoid and giant like body forms. It's almost as if they tired of some long forgotten battle and laid down to take a rest only to one day, in the near future, to be awakened and strike up the war drums and war pipes once again.
A circle of six ginormous swords stretching 100's of feet into the sky encircle a sacred grove that warriors make pilgrimages to once a year. The site is known as The Scourge of the Queen of Crows and recently shortened by the bard Seamus to Battlecrow after the now famous song. As well, the great Kingdom Tournament takes place near the Town of Swords.
