The siege on Meadheavan began on day Hamishi, Merlin opened multiple portals to the abyss around the town's outskirts, calling in many Fiends. Fortunately for Meadheavan, a massive storm created by Cloud Giants stalled the attack by a few hours, freezing the outskirts and giving the people of Meadheavan a little time to prepare, muster their forces and hide the civillians.

Four Cloud Giants used Control Weather to freeze the outskirts of town to give them time to prepare.
A single Frost Giant ran through the storm to warn to people of the incoming attack.

Merlin opened 12 portals to the abyss around town and Fiends started pouring out of them, they are open for 5 days straight.
