By the second night of the tournament, most of the rifraff has been eliminated and Ricmo is 500 gold richer. However the twenty five competitors that remain are all skilled gamblers, and well funded to boot.
The interior of Sally Brown's largest dance hall has been chosen as the sight of the final showdown. The room has been isolated by several guards, other then a few wait staff, no one comes in or out until the contest is completed. It will go as long as it needs to, until one player has all the gold and emerges victorious.
This doesn't stop a crowd from gathering around the door to the dancehall, betting feverishly on all manner of things associated to the tournament. Popular bets include winners, composition of the final table, next contestant to be eliminated, but oddsmakers are willing to support almost any scenario imaginable.
The play is non stop saving for a ten minute break every two hours and the occasional need to reshuffle the tables as contestants are eliminated.
The raise limits and antes start out relatively low, but at each break they increase dramatically.
The The Wizard of the Yellow Tower also guards the door, carefully eying each contestant as they enter, his wax golem lurking menacingly behind him.
Three gamblers stand out to Ricmo based on the initial elimination round.
Sally Brown herself is playing and seems to be equally skilled with cards as she is with her pistols
Cantrell, a famous gambler from the The Antilles is a tall cadaverous man with consummate card playing skills. A regular at this game, he won the tournament last year and three years before.
Finally Mark Jameson, another relative newcomer has also attracted Ricmo's attention. He also hails from Valoria , a tall devilishly handsome human with an inscrutable smile and coal black eyes that ever drop the slightest hint of his hand.
