Isla Lejos is the large island on which the town of Puerto Lejos is built. The island is roughly square with each side spanning 50 leagues. The majority of the island is jungle highland, mountainous and volcanic, however the southern peninsula of the island is flatter and boasts a small deepwater harbor. It is around this harbor that the small trading town of Puerto Lejos grew several hundred years ago.
The northern side of the island is inhabited by an extremely fierce tribe of First People known as the "Curari". The Curari are extremely large and strong and rumored to have orc blood running in their veins. Regardless of the truth of these rumors they are undeniably warlike and are cannibals.
The more civilized inhabitants of the town have built multiple levels of fortifications to protect themselves from the raids of these tribesmen, however despite the tall walls and fortifications the occasional warband still manages to penetrate into the outskirts of the town.
