Puerto Lejos doesn't have much in the way of permanent stone piers , making do with temporary wooden ones. While the small harbor is deep, it becomes too shallow near shore for any but the shallowest drafted ships, so cargo mostly is ferried by longboats to and from ships anchored out into the harbor.
The buildings that line the waterfront are mostly utilitarian warehouse interspersed with scattered taverns and pubs.
