In general the bottles are quite valuable but also quite fragile.
There is also a lot of variability in the value, ranging from 10 gold to 1000.
A wine aficionado can determine this with an investigation check but anyone that cannot claim such a background must roll at disadvantage.
Hidden in the very back on a lower shelf covered in dust are twelve bottles that don't contain wine. The bottles are dark, specially weighted, and appear in all ways as normal wine bottles. Among these bottle's is also an Effreti bottle.
It takes an investigation role of 20 to find that these bottles are different and a roll of 24 to determine the Effreti bottle is different from the others. All the bottles do radiate faint magic though, so a Detect Magic will find the bottles easily.
This Effreti bottle is a little different from standard. The Effreti can cast a wish on a roll of 70%+ but only one wish
The scroll bottles contain the following collection of scrolls
- Bless
- Prayer of Healing
- Dispel Magic
- Remove Curse
- Raise Dead
- Mass Cure Wounds
- Teleport Circle x4
- Meteor Swarm
The Teleport Circle and Meteor Swarm scrolls seem different from the rest, they are penned on a fine vellum, the bottles bear a stylized "U" embossed over a ram's head (unlike the symbol of the Four Mithran Virtues that the others bear). Unlike the other scrolls, anyone can use these scrolls, with an Arcane DC roll of 10 + Spell Level. However if the spell is not on the spell list of the caster, the roll is at disadvantage. Failure requires a roll on the Scroll Mishaps table.
An history or arcana roll of 18+ revels that the stylized “U” with the rams head was the personal seal of Uriel Ram
An investigation check reveals that each Teleport scroll has a set of magical runes written on the back, faint and faded with age, and thus hard to see.
