This long warren of chambers and rooms is located slightly above the New Drift. Located in the very depts of the Old Mines, it is only accessibly via a single upwardly sloping tunnel off the Drift. The warren is not well ventilated, the chambers are small, and are extremely claustrophobic.
The warren was used as quarters for miners. Many of them lived down here and never saw the sky, sometimes for years at a time. When the disaster happened, noxious fumes suffocated many of them in their beds.
Since then, due to the old mine pumping system no longer being functional, the region has flooded to chest height.
