In those days, the people of The Thousand Isles had lost their way, forgetting the words of Mithras. His church had descended into sin and greed, the great city of Haven Towne a den of vice and wickedness.
Thus, in the Autumn of the Year 1245, in Haven Town, our Lord Mithras did send his prophet, The Lightbringer. From far over the sea, he sent him to his people and his church. And The Lightbringer, full of grace and the radiance of Mithra's light, did appear before the congregation and speak these words to the Seventeen Companions.
Hear me, you heavens! Listen, earth!
For the Lord Mithras has spoken:
“I reared children and brought them up,
but they have lost their way."
Woe to a sinful church,
A church whose guilt is great,
A brood of evildoers
Obsessed with wealth and riches
Virtue given over to corruption!
They have forsaken the Light;
They have spurned his Word
And turned their backs on His teachings.
They have abused his children
Their hands are full of blood!
Woe upon you, Haven Towne, you city of iniquity!
Wash and make yourselves clean.
Cease your evil deeds
Learn to do right; seek justice.
Least judgement fall upon you
Defend the oppressed
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
Plead the case of the widow, the orphan
Abandon your riches
Give everything you have to the poor
Return to the teachings of our Lord of Light
Our face His Wrath
