Uglygobs

 

A type of fish found off the coast of Albasa City. It has an ugly face but tastes delicious. They can be found drying on enormous racks in Beach Front.

 

Horned Sea Snails

 

The giant snails are about 2ft long. They can be found on the seabed off the coast of Albasa City. They have horns like a bull and are often cooked and eaten in their shells.

 

Live Bait

 

A small silver fish that is traditionally eaten while its still alive. An acquired taste those who partake in its pleasures put a handful into their mouths at the same time, relishing the sensation of a small school of fish momentarily swimming about in their mouths.

 

Sirin Egg

 

Most Sirin Eggs are too valuable to be eaten but some small eggs belonging to the Tumels, are occasionally purchased to be eaten by the very flashiest aristos.

 

Tarfen

 

This massive ocean fish has a serrated and razor sharp rostral bone like a sword fish that can pierce boats. They are famous for providing the roe which is served in the premium spirit call Ralamine.

 

Ralmaine

 

It is debated whether Albasa made Ralmaine famous or whether Ralmaine made Albasa famous. It is distilled from the Talvak fruit and traditionally it’s served with Trafen row. Like most other intoxicants it is illegal.

This is a common staple meal among the poor in Greenville and Havok. The leaves gathered from plants in the swamp, give the rice an umami flavour not dissimilar from red meat.
