The newer of Albasa’s two universities, City University was founded after the fall of the Hoxha regime. It is said that it was largely funded by wealthy devotees of Teehi who saw Albasa University as a tool of the Modella faith. While the university does not officially recognize any religion (unlike Albasa University that observes the faith of Modella) many of the students and facility are of Teehi heritage. City University was quick to embrace a slew of new disciplines that the more traditional Albasa University had initially shunned. The University building itself was designed by architect John Pullman and is considered a masterpiece of the modern style, its colossal northern dome is particularly unique.
