The Stack was founded by the Ransome family and primarily breeds Timels. Theses are the least desired Sirin but are still a status symbol for those who aren't members of The Civilized Families. They are usually bred as working birds. They deliver 1st class post in and around the city - especially to the super rich with houses in the Hills neighbourhood and are used by the vulture turkey farmers who keep flying flocks around the North Road and up in the Perches. Originally they hired Wind Heads, natives of the mountains, to train the birds. Now the skills have been learnt the Wind Heads will often now come to town to buy and sell birds and eggs to the Stack.
