This temple overlooks Modella's rest where those faithful to the Religion of Modella are buried in Albasa. The only part of them that does not rest here is the heart which is removed prior to the funeral and run through with silver spikes so that it resembles a star and is kept in a heartstone by the family.
It is the belief of those of the Modella faith that when they die they will go first to Parcount, a heavenly battlefield, your soul will have to cross this battlefield to make it to the shadelands. On this battlefield you will face the demons you created in your lifetime. The more you created and the bigger they are the harder your fight will be and the longer it will take your soul to find rest in the shadelands. The shadesword is the weapon you will carry with you on this final fight and it is from this that the temple gets its name.
