The Reed Wastes that surround the south of the city up to The Deep Swamp. They are prone to lightning vast tidal floods and many inexperienced travellers have found themselves in trouble as the waters surround them at terrifying speed. This combined by the abundance of poisonous water snakes explains why the land remains uninhabited.
