The Redcastle gets its name from the red colored stone that was used to build it. It stands in stark contrast to the rest of the city which is mostly made of the grey stone of The Hills and Perches. This red stone comes from rocks in the Whitebone desert. It was built during the height of the Kalhom Empire. During the war housed many of the most important elven political prisoners. Today the Mixa Embassy stands next to it symbolising a shift in power and relationship between the city and there former foes.
