The era during which the Kalhom Empire ruled and everything before that.

  • The Dwarf Prophet Maka Preaches the Tee-hi Faith

    1563 KE

    The dwarf prophet Maka leaves Messasa, traveling to Mixa and preaching along the way. From there he briefly heads back to Messasa before heading to Jolo and further spreading his religion. Finally he sets sail for the tribal lands and is said to have died there after having converted a goblin tribe.

  • Kalhom Empire Founded

    1151 KE

    Originally the Kalhom Empire was founded by the Kalhom Tribe that managed to unite many of the human tribes in what is today the state of New Pompa, western Albasa and southern Donanna. Including controlling its then capital the city of New Pompa. The city of Donanna was still under the control of King Maylin III as was the north of the country then known as the Kingdom of Mentia.

     

  • The Siege of Donanna

    1038 KE

    The start of a five-year siege of the city of Donanna by the forces of the Kalhom Empire. Many people in the city starved and place was famously overrun by giant rats.

  • The Fall of Donanna & the Kingdom of Mentia

    1036 KE

    With over two thirds of the city’s inhabitants dead from starvation King Maylin III abdicates his throne and the Kalhom Empire expands into the former Kingdom of Mentia.

  • Humans Arrive on the East Coast

    907 KE

    A wagon train of humans and halflings arrive on the east coast and found a settlement. They teach the local swamp goblins stone masonry, woodwork, and literacy. They first discover the Sirin bird, news of which travels back to the rest of the Kalhom Empire who become fascinated by the giant birds. More settlers soon arrive, and the settlement rapidly expands.

  • Albasa City Founded

    901 KE

    Not a city a first but a large town Albasa City was named after the local goblin word for the fragrant onions that grow at the foot of the hills.  

  • The Wooden Palace Built

    900 KE

    The Wooden Palace is built as the seat of power in the new town. It is carved out of wood by skilled human craftsmen but put together using goblin labours.

  • Albasa Officially Becomes Part of the Kalhom Empire

    883 KE
  • The First Sirin Ridden

    873 KE

    With the aid of Charm magic the mage Joseph Emerald first tames and flies a Tummel. It doesn’t take long before he has charmed a Kaybar and finally after another 9 years he managed to saddle a ride one of the giant Charn.

  • First Leader of the Kalhom Empire Not a Member of Kalhom Family

    737 KE

    Karl Highcastle is elected by the council of elders becoming the first leader of the Kalhom empire not from the Kalhom family. This ensures the empires power no longer relies on the production of a tribal heir.

  • Albasa Rebuilt in Stone

  • Mixa’s Queen Enderflame Dies of the Plague

  • The Blue Revolt

    411 KE

    The leader of the Kalhom Empire Emperor Anthony Bearson is overthrown by those resentful of his handling of the plague that has claimed so many of the empires subjects lives. Those who overthrew him were known for wearing blue paint in their hair.

  • The Signing of the International Magic Ban

  • The Great Blaze of Magical Items

    Fearful of them encouraging the plague people all over Albasa began collecting and burning magical items and other ancient artefacts. 

  • The End of the Magical Plague

  • Third Building Wave

    314 KE

    The third wave of building in Albasa saw much of Uptown grow towards the heavens as skyscrapers sprung up and colossal structures were erected in concrete, steel and stone.

  • Painting of the Sun & Moon Lobby

    289 KE

    Lord Gerald Weston paints the ceiling of the Sun and Moon Lobby in the Albasa Grand Hotel. The vast mural is a masterpiece that depicts the creation myth from the religion of Modella which starts with the birth of the Sun and the Moon.
