High-Elvish, also known as Elleseandi or True Tongue is the language as spoken by the High Elves of Elleseand.
It is a complicated language, which flows like a river from one word to the next. Words tend to be far longer than those in other languages and the language makes heavy use of conjunctions.
This makes the language hard to learn for outsiders, and even for other Elves. In fact, it is generally not taught to outsiders at all, seen as a point of pride by those who speak it.
Its structure and vocabulary allows for precise definitions and descriptions, especially of magic and topics relating to arcana, making it a popular study topic among wizards.
