The Temple of Achiel is a large, central building in Old Town, bordering the Exchange. It's been in use since before the War of Shield and Spear, and some suggest that it may have been one of the first buildings in Heaton, with the rest of the town forming around it.
It draws those faithful to Achiel. Visits are made throughout the day, as people stop by briefly to pray and pay tribute. Achiel is one of the most commonly worshipped gods in Erenen, so it draws people from all walks of life.
The entrance is marked by vivid mosaics of natural landscapes, framed by blooming vines. Cold, refreshing water flows in small channels throughout the main room.
The temple is in use every day from 06:00 to 22:00, after which it is cleaned and tidied for the next day.
