1. Quests

Honorbound

Completed

Travelling along the road, the party runs into Andres Athard III, flanked by two knights.

Andres insists on proving his honor against the party, and challenges one of them to step forward for a duel.

DM Notes

  • To avoid a duel, the party needs to pass a DC 15 Persuasion check. If the deal is sweetened, the check is lowered to DC 15.
  • At the start of the duel, the two opponents start at with 20 ft. between them.
  • Any magic or divine powers are prohibited by the code of honor; if used, the knights will interfere.
  • The duel will continue until one of the opponents is bloodied.
  • If Andres wins, he will thank his opponent for a match well-fought and continue on his way.
  • If the player wins, Andres will pay 40gp and 2 healing potions (2d4+4), bow, and take his leave, supported by his knights.
  • If Andres is about to be bloodied with the next hit, he might kick up sand (Dexterity saving throw, DC 13 to avoid) to blind his opponent for the next turn.
