Siege of Port Sena

Siege

The Initial Stalemate

While Black Hand forces made their way through the Swamps of Crinia, the Val Ossus Militia under the command of RĂ¡mon Rubiano made their way to Port Sena, to finally take this valued prize.

The initial siege was a failure, as Rubiano found himself unable to claim both sides of the Alba river. It was only when his father, Ricardo Rubiano, arrived and took command when the city was properly surrounded.

Falldawn Offensive

Port Sena

During the opening weeks of the fall season, the siege increased in intensity. The situation looked dire: Commanding only ~6 companies (roughly 800 men) against an besieging force of 6 battalions (roughly 3000 men), the Senians found themselves heavily outnumbered.

Their supplies cut off and facing troops of superior training, it was only the quality of the city walls that kept the invaders outside. It was only through Gustav Alfonsi's surprising tactical ability that the city withstood this renewed assault.

The First Week of Falldawn

A series of probing attacks on the city caused only minor casualties on both sides, with no clear winner.

The Second Week of Falldawn

Despite new weaponry supplied by Erenen and a new stream of supplies, the enemy was ferocious in their attack, resulting in several skirmishes in favor of the Aregis Alliance. During Operation Myrmidon, Lance and Ryo d'Argento are sent out by Gustav Alfonsi and Dalvir Zoleri to dismantle the long-range ballista preventing ships from resupplying the city. After a careful infiltration, they succeed.
