Mortimer is an elderly half-elf archer living in the Cradle Plains of Val Luno.

Having lost his wife Bertha over a decade ago, Mortimer lived in one of the many small hamlets of the Cradle Plains, until the Aregis Alliance ransacked it.

Without a home and general purpose in life, Mortimer found himself taking refuge at The Dirty Deeds.

Joining with the Raven Shield

It was at the Dirty Deeds, on the 15th of Falldawn 642 5E, that Mortimer met Lorenzo, Luciano Vanitoso and Silvayn of The Raven Shield.

During his time in the inn, Mortimer had heard rumors of the former Temple of Unity now housing vile cultists, and together with the Raven Shield, he set out to cleanse the temple of their stain.

Afterward, back at the Dirty Deeds, on the 20th of Falldawn 642 5E, Mortimer pledged himself to Lorenzo, indicating that

During my time as a soldier, I killed plenty of people who had it coming. With Bertha and my home gone, I figure I might as kill a few more. If you point me the right direction, master Firbolg, I'll follow you as long as I am able.
