Gran is a skilled diplomat, negotiator, and accountant from Pista.
With Rednora Traldur, the actual leader of the city, more occupied with warfare and battle, Gran has taken it upon himself to be the actual manager of power in the city. He first met Aryan Whitgor while the latter traveled through the region in order to gain support in his battle against Rámon Rubiano.
Aryan Whitgor exposed the conspiracy within the Council of Pista, pleasantly surprising Gran with his tact.
When Aryan finally took the throne of Val Ossus, he appointed Gran as the Keeper of Coin. While Gran can be a subtle schemer, entwined in machinations to optimize his personal gain, Aryan figured that having such a figure at his side - and making sure that Gran's goals aligned with that of Ossus - would be very valuable, indeed.
