House Whitgor is a noble house of Val Ossus, originating from the South Timbersong Woods near Onas.
The family crest depicts a red griffin, a reference to The Winged Death, an abnormally large griffin that plagued the region near Ossus around the time of Massimo Whitgor around 400 5E. It was Massimo's heroism that slew the beast, and it was the people's celebration surrounding this deed that turned into the movement to replace Ferdinando Rubiano as ruler of Val Ossus, who had the position at the time.
This started a long reign by House Whitgor of the Val Ossus region, which was ended on the Night of Hidden Blades in 639 5E by Rámon Rubiano and Ricardo Rubiano.
