Durengar supports the largest (in Dwarvish opinion) ensemble of craftsmen from around Unknown. From Giantkin to the summer Eladrin Elf. Constructions of all kinds are a most welcome sight, and even now constructs and golems are in high demand but has been highly contested with the Elves' Eidolon. Nary a day goes by where there isn't some sortof battle or contest between someone's appointed Eidolon and a Golem of Dwarvish creation, so much so it has begun becoming a passtime amongst those who live here to vote or bet on these challenges of skill & talent. While there is always room for warcraft, many a customer might ask for 'alternate' activities or requirements for their constructs. The amphitheaters have been filled with many different arrays of Eidolon & Golems competing in tasks ranging from the mundane to the spectacular. One minute a golem can actually beat out a Eidolon for poetry recital, the next a Eidolon could beat out a golem in a contest of rock-tossing. Truly the Dwarvish spirit of competition, fair & foremost - has pushed much of the culture here to both one-up and, of course, smear your victory in the opponents' face.
Home of the largest Mountain Dwarf clans, this is a city built entirely OUT of a mountain. One that to the disbelief an chagrin of many other architects, actually rivals the size of one of the tallest mountains in Unknown. With grand halls an towering constructions working as important systems for transportation, as well as aesthetic, Durengar is the pride & joy of the Dwarven Nation Artungstein. It sports the centralized location for the Steel Stallions' train system - a titanic underground network of caves lined with magnetized railing for expontentially fast travel throughout Gaimera & even dipping into the Underdark's darkness. Currently this networks tretches along the southern half of Gaimera, connecting as far as Serenity to the ostracized relic city of Astrakhan. New connections beyond Hamir Portam have been in construction for quite a while, but interruptions from both below & above has made progressing north to be quite troubling for this city. As Dwarves do, they dig in their heels and keep pushing onward.
