Short build Aaracokras (looking like the Killdeer bird) living on the top & side of Stoughholm Mountains. These Aaracokra have grown accustomed to the harsh mountain climate and as such have sharpened their bills & talons to be capable of carving through stone. This makes them effective burrow diggers, and worse enemies for any who finds comfort in nonmagical armament for their talons are able to pierce most armors.
They aren't aggressive to large groups of creatures, as they prefer hit & run tactics mostly going for small game or other smaller creatures that make a home on the mountain or nearby either for small game. The locals refer to these Aaracokra as "Skulltappers" for their quick methods for dealing with people, usually going straight for the skull and being able to crack through metal to almost instantaneously incapacitate creatures if not outright kill him. Though these attacks are rare, the locals are sure to leave out or let loose offerings of small farm animals as a symbol of peace. The firsthand account from a group of hunters who overhunted the mountain tell of the veracity these Aaracokra exhibit when their food sources dwindle too quickly. Of a party of seven, only three hunters returned. Those who did were covered in various types of feces, leaves, and seeming like they could fit in too easily to either a pigsty or a compost heap.
