Nera was awoken in her familys Tomb/dungeon. Her father, an arch necromancer had fallen for a brave pirate captain who captured his uncertain heart. Many adventurers and armies had tried to conquer the Tomb, for it was a scar upon Thrane's holy lands. A beacon of darkness and undead.
Nera had always loved her mothers tales of the outside. They weren't allowed outside. It was dangerous. Tho sometimes her mother took her to one of the upper parts of the Dungeons and she could smell the sea.
Nera was trained rigorously. Her studies where endless. Her mother called her Emily, it meaned "hardworking/industrious". Emily was showing her worth to the familys liches and thus was gifted with a few powerfull servants.
One night her mother dissapeared. Nera was devistated and frequently lashed out at the family for not going out to find her. In this time she met Lord Derosso. An old vampire lord who embolded her resolve for seeking a way outside. She still often writes letters to him.
After many attempts Nera fled from the family tomb. She learned quickly that her family was infamous and that she needed to hide her true identity.
She hopped on a merchant ship, Learning that she shouldn't neglect her body strength before being captured after a few trips.
