Gustav is the crew's researcher. More often than not, the Karrn can be found
with his nose pressed into one of his many books. He has accrued a
wealth of knowledge about all manner of flora and disease around the
Lhazaar Principalities, and stays on board chiefly as a means to be able to
travel the world and acquire new knowledge.
Gustav is famous for asking the captain to make a short detour to some
town or destination where he believes he might gather more information
for his research. His quest for knowledge often blinds him to danger.
