Elkas Riben is a sea-elf pirate captain, and leader of The Favoured Storm. He is arrogant, smug, and not the smartest, but somehow he always manages to get ahead. During the war, he sold his privateer services to anyone who would take them. This made him a small fortune, which he used to arm his crew even further, eventually taking over Calib's Rock.
He was hired by a mysterious benefactor to steal Lady Perette's mirror. Not one for turning down an opportunity, he accepted. Lady Perette put a bounty on the mirror to get it back, leading to the crew of The Evernoon to Calib's Rock.
On 10 Zarantyr, the crew of The Evernoon stealthily took over the fortress, sinking Elkas' ship, and leaving the crew stranded.
