Elaine was born to be the Queen of Avalon, chosen by the Sidhe and Derwyddon to fulfil her role. By all accounts she spent many years travelling Bryn Bresail and learning the ways of the Sidhe and the history of Avalon.
She returned to Avalon and brought an end to the civil war that plagued it, defeating all opposition and uniting the Triple Kingdoms under her banner - even King MacDuff and the O'Bannon pledged allegiance to her.
In the years since Avalon has gone from strength to strength, glamour has returned and Elaine rules with confidence and charisma - beloved by noble and commoner alike.
Some time ago she was the victim of an assassination attempt, the exact details are still shrouded in mystery, though she survived the initial attack she fell into a deep, cursed sleep. With Derwyddon missing it fell to Sir Bors McAllister to take over running of the country and where he lacked the charisma of Queen Elaine he resorted to developing secret weapons and ensuring his opposition 'disappeared'.
Sir Bors McAllister was eventually defeated by the combined efforts of the heroes and with the water from the Fountain of Youth they were able to lift the curse and Queen Elaine has been restored to the throne.
