Jean Luc was born into an exceptionally wealthy family and has had all of his needs catered for without question. It goes without saying that he has so much wealth at his disposal he doesn't really understand the value of money. Despite this he has shown himself to be surprisingly capable of seeing to the prosperity of his holdings, though there are numerous areas where he lacks the necessary skills he is aware of his limitations and employs a number of advisers who ensure everything runs smoothly.
Socially Jean Luc is a frequent guest at all manner of gatherings as well as hosting his own parties - both small and large - on occasion. Though he holds no official position at court he is occasionally called upon to act as an unofficial ambassador or messenger due his contacts and associates across Theah.
Recreationally, aside from attending all the best events he is also extremely fond of hunting and has proven his skill on numerous occasions. With the reopening of L'Il Du Bete he was able to get an early invitation there and though there were some unexpected complications during his time there he has returned home with several new trophies.
Holdings
The Pierre holdings were left relatively unscathed by the Montaigne revolution and the Pierre Estate in northern Montaigne is easily one of the most extensive in the region. It includes enough formal gardens, servants and extravagant artwork to compete with even the palace in Charouse.
Though the holding's primary income is from agriculture and prudent investments on the part of Jean Luc and his predecessors he has also taken to offering support and even patronage to a number of artisans and craftsmen; their produce has contributed substantially to both his finances and reputation.
