The Pierre holdings were left relatively unscathed by the Montaigne revolution and the Pierre Estate in northern Montaigne is easily one of the most extensive in the region. It includes enough formal gardens, servants and extravagant artwork to compete with even the palace in Charouse.
Though the holding's primary income is from agriculture and prudent investments on the part of Jean Luc Pierre and his predecessors he has also taken to offering support and even patronage to a number of artisans and craftsmen; their produce has contributed substantially to both his finances and reputation.
