Lord Lust was the Uncle to Magna the Scholar. He first appears in chapter one of Slaves of Magnapur where he appears as an antagonist. Within it he is introduced discussing phrenology and vivisection, and later he kills Tomothy, and leads to the death of Punak Chambaya.

Lust was born in Magnapur as the younger brother of Magna the Unfortunate (referred to in life as Magna the Benevolent) to Magnus the Quiet and his wife Elladora of Pundrapur. Named Raja of Pundrapur shortly after his birth, he grew up in the lap of luxury, doted on by his mother. The Magnus was distant but not unkind to Lust, largely due to the bitterness between himself and Elladora over his numerous bastards, preferring his daughter by his first wife, Magna the Unfortunate. At a young age, Lust was usually referred to as "the Young Raja" or more patronisingly "the Little Brother".

Through his adolescent years, the Young Raja grew a reputation for being spiteful and quick to anger, with rumours of animal mutilation and cruel treatment of slaves following him. Despite this, he grew closer to his older sister, especially after their father's passing from a heart attack while visiting a paramour. Without even the slight oversight of a largely absent father, his behaviour worsened into outright torture and sadism as he became a young adult, and various less pleasant names for him begun to be used, such as "Raja Ruthless" and "the Bloody Brother", with "Lord Lust" coming to prominence as he left adolescence. Cultivating the image of hosting and attending parties of great debauchery, he assumed Lord Lust as his usual mantle even among the high elf nobility.

Lust largely acted as his sister's wetworks man, handling the more brutal aspects of rulership. Despite the rumours, he was not involved in her tragic end, and assisted his young niece, Magna the Scholar, with the duty of ruling. By 1011 YM, Lust was awarded custody of the Book of Names.

At some point prior to 1011 YM, Lust purchased Punak Chambaya as his Timekeeper, who orchestrated the Burning of the Book of Names at one of Lust's parties. Chambaya killed himself to avoid Lust's questioning, as Lust knew his name, and Lust was badly wounded fighting and killing Tomothy, but the Book was burnt and two of The Bookburners escaped.

Due to this debacle, Lust largely fell out of favour, even with his niece, and many of his ceremonial titles were stripped, as well as the Rajdom of Pundrapur, which passed to Sanja Fairmaiden.
