- Dibrael says "I like you" and Zaz says "okay"
- Dibrael asks Zaz if he'd like to try dating, but Zaz worries he's only asking because he feels obligated
- after some reassurance, Zaz starts crying and admits he likes Dibrael too
Zaz mistakenly calls Mylz Dibrael's mother, because she's about the right age and knows his father
- Dibrael pulls out matching gold bracelets for him and Zaz to wear
- Dibrael mentions that Jimjar made a bet on his and Zaz's relationship, which makes Zaz very uncomfortable
Mylz brews some healing tea for Sarith, who is busy planning out the next day's routes
- Sarith's hair keeps getting in the way, so Mylz offers him a hair tie; its design happen to remind him of Eilistraee, and he nervously glances toward Jorlan
- they discuss the next day's routes from what he remembers the last time he was in Neverlight Grove

- Mylz suggests that Sarith continue traveling with the group and search for someone who can cure his illness
- the implication that Sarith will die soon sends him into a panic, and he flees camp so no one can watch him cry
