since it's everyone's last night in the Underdark together, someone decides they should tell stories around the campfire
- Jimjar suggests they share a truth poison; they never have to see each other again, so why not?
- Dibrael, Skjorn, Zaz, Derendil, Eldeth, Jimjar, Spiderbait, Topsy, and Yuk Yuk all agree to drink the poison
Skjorn asks if anyone is using a false name (and also who thinks he's hot)
- Topsy admits she thinks he's hot; Derendil says he's attractive and Dibrael calls him cute
- no one admits to using a false name, but Spiderbait & Yuk Yuk reveal that they named each other
Topsy asks if anyone is going home to family, which is possibly the worst topic for this bunch of traumatized adventurers
- Turvy reveals he has a daughter
- Derendil goes on about his royal parents - who are actually good parents - and it makes Skjorn sad
- Skjorn asks Jimjar if he has any family; Jimjar says no, though he loves children and it's a shame he never was one
- Zaz says to Jimjar, "What the fuck are you?"
Jimjar switches the topic back to Turvy's daughter: her name is Rocketee
- Rocketee is nicknamed "Rock Rabbit," after the creature that blends in with stone while standing still; she used to startle people by sitting still and silent
- Skjorn says he wants kids one day, pointedly looking at Jorlan
- Zaz asks if Jorlan has any kids; Jorlan admits he doesn't know, then dissociates
- Zaz tries to ask how he doesn't know; Sarith quietly explains that consorts have no hand in raising their children and often aren't informed if they've had any
Eldeth moves the conversation to a story from her childhood
- Eldeth's father went on a fake adventure with her and gave her a magic instrument that turns you invisible - only while it's played
- the item was left behind in Velkynvelve
- Zaz shares a similar story of going on scavenger hunts with his mom
Skjorn asks how everyone got captured
- Jorlan says "an attractive half-elf made me an offer I couldn't refuse;" then he and Skjorn flirt until Dibrael tells them to get a room
- Topsy & Turvy were captured the morning after a full moon transformation, when they were too disoriented to run away
Mylz came to the Underdark to fight monsters and was snuck up on in the middle of a battle
- Mylz says she must stay down here to fight the demon lords; Eldeth, Skjorn, & Zaz express concern for her
- Mylz doesn't necessarily want to be a hero, but all her life she has been forced to
- Eldeth says Mylz should take care of herself, and that people don't have to follow the path set for them at birth; "I would know"
- Skjorn and Zaz push for info, but Eldeth only says her dad is someone important, so her upbringing was strict
- Mylz just wanted to make jewelry; Derendil offers to hire her to live in his palace and make jewelry for his family
- Mylz declines, saying she can't trust Dibrael to take her place just yet because he's still a child
- Dibrael asks how he's supposed to learn if she doesn't let him try?
Zaz loudly changes the subject to Ront's home and family
- Ront reveals that his tribe was slaughtered by demons, and he believes that he is a coward for running away and getting caught by slavers
- Zaz is sympathetic and Dibrael tells Ront he's done a good job; Ront is appreciative but doesn't show it
Spiderbait tells of how he met Yuk Yuk when they were trying to scam the same person and ended up wrestling over it
- Yuk Yuk shares an embarrassing story about Ilvara tripping over her own dress on the Silken Paths
Jorlan shares something about: "You know when you have to research your employers' past lovers so you don't make the same mistakes as them and get killed? Hate that."
- Dibrael laughs - not because he understands what Jorlan said, but because Jorlan felt it was necessary to share
- Sarith says, "That's not a universal experience."
Jimjar has been to every casino in the Underdark
- Skjorn says that he likes to gamble, so Jimjar offers to take him to his favorite casino some day
- Skjorn asks if Jimjar counts cards, and the answer is "obviously"
- "Every city Jimjar visits has an economic crisis." - Scum
the next day, the slavers catch up to Party and ambush them
- Ilvara looks like a mess and Jorlan quotes Zuko Avatar: "There's something off about her. I can't explain it, but she's slipping."
- Zaz commands Minuet, the homunculus servant, to lead the noncombatants away from the battle
- Skjorn casts Crown of Madness on Shoor and forces him to attack Ilvara
- as soon as one of the elite warriors dies, Ilvara casts Lolth's Wrath, exploding his body into hostile spectral spiders
the ground trembles with the surprising arrival of Demogorgon, who is in a fight with himself and doesn't mind them
- Dibrael gains indefinite madness: Powerful enemies are always watching me. I go out of my way to hide even my mundane my activities from everyone.
- Mylz gains indefinite madness: Those who refuse to take my orders must be punished.
- Zaz gains indefinite madness: Someone is plotting to kill me. I need to strike first to stop them!

Summary:
- Jorlan kills Ilvara himself
- Asha shoots a spell at Jorlan but Skjorn counter-attacks; it explodes point-blank and injures his hands
- the ceiling falls on Dibrael and Zaz; Zaz casts Gust to push Dibrael away from the worst of it, but they're both severely injured
- Spiderbait pushes Yuk Yuk out of the way and takes a killing blow for him
- [redacted] realizes Mylz intends to cause a cave-in and somehow, he is briefly (and painfully) gifted the ability to use Telekinesis to push Demogorgon into range
