Queen Azadeh Xhas is the Verdant Turaco of House Tezeta. She is the Golden Phoenix's wife and Prince Sahildar's birth mother. Most people believe she is also Princess Ranis Rin's birth mother as well, but this is not the case. Whatever her original relationship with her grandmother-in-law was, eventually the Hag told Damondar II that the future of the House (and undoubtedly her school) depended on his taking the Hag's student Kurrem Lla as a concubine. Ranis Rin the Sunbird is the culmination of that union, but Azadeh commanded that the child be taken from Kurrem so that the Queen could raise her as her own, and that her lineage be kept secret. Azadeh sent Kurrem to the Palace of Noble Deliverance to diminish Kurrem's influence over Ranis, Damondar, and the Court.
Azadeh Xhas has become more allied with the likes of the Teraalira Betuah, especially as Ranis Rin gains more footing as Tezeta's heir and Kurrem has brought out another woman who now wears the surname Lla and the title Tezetazatzin.
